Q: I have a 2007 s40 anyone know if this works for that year?

In crutchfield.com select your car and any stereo, the site will suggest the correct harness adaptor, compare it to this one. Most likely it will fit.

Q: Does this adaptor have the other end that goes into the radio adapter..or will i need to splice and put the opposite end on?

You will plug the cable that goes into the radio into the harness instead. It is a really easy install and the cable is really easy to wire up. I installed a double din radio in a 1998 Volvo V70 with navigation and bluetooth with ease with this harness.

Should work fine! Most likely you have really a 4 speaker system with 4 tweeters.

Q: Would this work for a 1997 volvo 850 and with a boss radio ?

I believe so, I had a boss radio that was a blue one with Bluetooth and worked completely fine. You’ll need butt socks and other stuff to splice the wires together but I’m assuming you know how to do that. However, if you get a boss radio you might need trim pieces to lock the radio in place otherwise it might fall out.
