Calm Me Down - Calming Collars for Dog Anxiety - Large, Pink with Paw Prints

It seemed to work very well the first time Bo wore it. He calmed down and actually laid down and took a nap even though it was still thundering. The second time he wore it, he relaxed enough to take off and jump in the pool before I could catch him. You can not allow the collar to get wet. It will not dry out completely and will mold no matter how long it hangs in the sun and lays on the counter to dry. UPDATE: After leaving my review earlier, I was contacted by the seller regarding my Pup's going swimming with his collar on. I knew the collar shouldn't get wet but sometimes, the Big Guy is faster than I am when he decides to go swimming! After exchanging emails and discussing the collar's effect on Bobo, I was pleasantly surprised to find a new collar in my mailbox this week. We have had 2 days of thunderstorms now and Bo has made it through both in a relaxed state on his rug snoozing. The Calming Collar is definitely worth trying. It had been recommended by several people whose dogs were not helped by the shirts that are available. So, If your dog experiences anxieties during storms or car trips or just life in general...I highly recommend trying this collar, especially from this seller. It even smells good to me! 1 YEAR UPDATE - May 22, 2017: It has been almost a year since we bought this collar for Bo and it's still working as well today as it did when we first got it. I've kept it in a plastic storage container when not in use so the fragrance has not been reduced by time at all. Last night's storm dumped 2" rain in an hour and a half. Bo hardly noticed it. It is thundering again now and he's stretched out on his rug chillin'! I bought this collar with great trepidation. I did not believe it could work this well. Now, I can't imagine getting through the summer without it. He doesn't hyperventilate any more and just cruises through the storms. I can't recommend this product enough for your dog.

This arrived quickly and nicely packed with tissue. IDK, that just makes me feel better about spending money on the product, so thanks for that touch. But most important, this is working really well with my nervous dog. It seemed to bliss her out immediately. She habitually chews on her legs and feet, and since the vet has ruled out physical causes, he believes it to be psychological. I'm hoping this will ease her anxiety. About the sizing, my dog has a 17-inch neck, and the medium was a little small. I was able to adjust it to fit, but just to let you know, it goes pretty much the full length of the collar. Still fits just fine. For those who say it doesn't work, it may not work for YOUR dog, but it may for others. For instance, my dog's thunder shirt works well for her, but most other calming cures I've tried don't. I'm also putting her on a homemade diet. Fingers crossed.

It's cute and perfect for the Border Collie and it makes him smell nice but I do not see how it is calming him down any. And I would like to know how to reinfuse it?

I have a very nervous & anxious 5 year Boston Terrier. He gets home sick when we go camping so I bought him the calming collar in hopes that it would help. I wish that I had bought this sooner. It was a life saver for him as this was the 1st time we took him camping that he didn't get nervous or anxious being away from home. I put it on him the day before we left & only took it off of him at night when he went to sleep. He loved having it on as I think it made him feel safe. The herbs inside the collar have a wonderful calming sensation & I think the scent helped. I am so thankful for this collar for my fur baby and I'll definitely buy another one.

I was hoping this collar would work for our dog. I visited my mother and she had one on her dog, and it worked for her dog. He was unrecognizable. He was very well behaved. However, it did nothing for two of my dogs. I'm very disappointed!

I ordered this because I have a dog with separation anxiety. I thought I'd give this a try. And to be honest, I'm not certain if has been completely effective. I have not noticed a big difference - perhaps a tiny bit. And...a tiny bit is probably better than her being complete uncomfortable. So I recommend trying - all dogs are different (just like us people)!

Update....this collar worked "differently" for my very anxious rescue chihuahua. It did not "calm" her or put her to sleep...however it did relieve some of her anxiety. She was able to play and eat! She has anxiety all the time so it was great to see her be her silly self!! Definitely works different on different dogs and we highly recommend you try it!! I do not have a review of the product yet, but the customer service is GREAT. My package was "lost" by USPS. Contacted them regarding the issue, got a response in less than 24hrs. Super nice and accommodating. Shipped another collar priority mail. Emailed me the new tracking info, again in less than 24hrs. Today got another email, that BOTH packages are to be delivered today. They instructed me to keep or donate the extra collar, no need to return it. Thank you for helping our 4-legged family members with love.

This did not work at all for my dog's issues with the gardener or mailman, but it sure smells nice, mostly of lavender. It looks cute (blue bandana) and my dog didn't mind wearing it at all, but it didn't help his extreme stress with his two triggers.
