I tried the other product advertised for this job before, there is no comparison. This one makes it super easy, it only takes one try to put the spring back.

When I got my washing machine silicone gasket, I decided to get a pair of spring extender pliers... they were not large enough. I got this tool and it works amazingly, although, I did have to really stretch the spring, the metal rod did bend slightly, but went right back to it's original shape when I was done. This is the 4th rubber seal for my washing machine in 20 years. I no longer have the strength in my arms to stretch the spring and pull it the the other end of the cable. I wish I had seen this tool years ago. Only took a couple of tries and the silicone gasket is hard to stay in place while trying to get the cable around, but with this tool, I was done in 20 minutes. I highly recommend this tool for anyone trying to save money and do the job themselves.

There are other options on the market but this is the only one (that I know of) that you can use both hands to handle.Simple and amazing, looks great, arrived on time and will last for future needs. Recommended!
