How long does the flashlight last until next battery change

It would totally depend on the battery you are using

No, it is an older style bulb that drains battery quickly. The Maglite ML50LX LED 3-Cell C Foliage Green Flashlight is a great choice. Fits in your hand easily and if you get rechargeable c batteries you have made some good choices.

What kind of light bulb can replace it with? preferably looking for a led one

This flashlight is junk and does not use a led bulb. Buy a tactical LED flashlight that uses 18650 battery.
