Quiet and reliable, though bright
I actually bought this for a fileserver as it was well rated and reasonably priced. It's quiet and does the job, but the rgb is bright. I can't really do anything about this as the fileserver doesn't accommodate any software for adjusting it. Regardless, doesn't really bother me and so far it has run great.

Good Platnium PSU
The software is atrocious, otherwise the LED screen is neat and works.

Reliable and looks great
PSUs are often an overlooked component when we pick out parts for a system. I've cheaped out on one in the past and received an unpleasant lesson in the form of a sudden failure while I was gaming. Fortunately none of the other components were damaged, but it was still a experience I'd prefer not to repeat.I've been using this Cooler Master PSU for almost a year and it's been rock solid. It's full modular, so installation was as easy it gets with a PSU these days...which is to say it's much better than the days of non-modular PSUs and ribbon cables, but it's inevitably a bit fiddly and you'll need to have a think about the best way to route the cables without obstructing airflow in your case.My machine has a side window and the RGB lighting is visible in the corner. The display is pretty easy to read although I haven't really had much use for reading it, although it was interesting to see the lower wattage after I underclocked my graphics card. Generally, I don't think the RGB or display adds a huge amount unless your machine is displayed at eye level. I would've preferred a detachable display that I could place in a more visible spot. The fan is acceptably quiet and there are ways to add your own profiles via the MasterPlus+ software. The PSU is quiet enough that it's unlikely to be louder than your gfx card fan.I can recommend this as a high quality, high-ish efficiency PSU with a great 10 year guarantee, but you may find better value elsewhere if you don't value the RGB and display features.
