Great quality, hard to use
I still have it 5 stars because what makes it hard to use IS the fact that it's super lightweight and compact. It's difficult to set a hook when fishing. It's definitely not something to just throw in your hiking bag and forget about. This thing takes a lot of practice to master. That's not really a knock on the product or the company though that's why I still gave 5 stars. It's just something to be aware. It's half the size of other compact "hobo" fishing options so you gain a "go anywhere" benefit when you lose some of the ease of use, but why would anyone buy this unless they wamted something ultralight and compact? It does that super well and is well thought out.

Wrong color
Its not a deal breaker because I do really like it but it's not the color I ordered whats the point of having a color choice to not get the color you picked

Exotac = Quality
As soon as I received this item and opened it up I knew it was a quality product. Love that it's everything you need to catch some fish if you are out camping or in a survival situation, all in such a small package. The small compartment fits everything the xREEL comes with plus you can put some bait in it, which I plan to do. This will be a stable in my pack for years to come and will purchase more things from Exotac in the future.

Nice
Nice little fishing unit. Hold misc hooks, lures, weights, Etc. Allows me to have a small compact fishing unit under my my car seat for those get away from office day.

High quality piece of kit.
Quality as expected, I wanted a fishing kit to keep on the truck or atv for those times when I’m out and about and have the urge to fish. Pairs well with trout magnet lures. Casting distance depends on the weight attached and user coordination. I will add that you need to pay attention when reeling or winding the line on.

Stunning quality
Absolutely amazing a little hobo reel. That is a necessity for any survival pack or truck glove box. Would not recommend going anywhere without one.

Too expensive
The idea is great but the price is a bit much for what you get, which is typical for exotac gear. The portion where the line goes is too shallow. For price point and function the Yoyito is a better deal.

Hab das Kit für meine survival Ausrüstung gekauft.ist zwar recht teuer,aber das Ding kann ich auch noch an meinen Sohn vererben.Hab noch ein paar verschiedene Angelhaken reingelegt.
