Nice 20/40 panel for a minor upgrade
This is a great product if you're just looking to upgrade your existing hundred amp panel. My brother-in-law has an old Square D panel from the 70s and this is a great upgrade for him. I'm not doing a service upgrade from the utility, just replacing the panel that's outside the house. It's a 20-40 panel and it even has arc flash covers for the lines which is something I'm not used to. this panel will be a great fit and he will have a better product that's updated so he can rewire his house at his own pace down the road, with my help of course. His current panel is full 12/24/ and he wants 1 more circuit for his fish tanks. It will be good to have a new setup and also replace the knob & tube that is still in his house

Worked but came used
Unit came used and the main breaker on bus bar were bent out. Had to take unit apart and correct because I did not have time to send it back. Also came with 2 knock outs already removed

Make sure breakers match cabinet! Square D has different models...which is confusing.
It was OK....What I don't like about Square D is the fact that they have several different Square D brands.I'm sure most electricians would agree..why so many different? Square D, Square D Home, Square D QC? WTH? WHY NOT JUST SQUARE D? Oh I know.....(spend more money)

I have bought several of these boxes in the past
I have bought several of these boxes for various projects over the last 5 years. I ordered this one a little ahead so i would have it when it came time to put it in. Last weekend I opened the box it came in, and the box it came in was not all dented up or anything. But, the metal on the top of the box was bent and had seemed to separate from the rest of the box. Otherwise, everything looked good. I replaced the old box, with the new one and cut all the wires to fit. When I finished, I cut the power on and then cut on the main breaker, to find out that the main breaker was not working. When you tried to cut it on, you could see little plastic pieces coming from inside the breaker where the on/off was. I started a return, but then with the box shortage I canceled the return, because I could not find another box, the very same size, as I had cut all my wires at this point. So, I ordered a new main breaker and $78.00 later I am back in business. I am not happy with the purchase, but I had no good choice but to keep it at this point.

Great product, lousy customer service
Ive purchased a few of these panels now to be installed outdoors for RV's. On my last purchase I found the ground screw missing, the paper the screw was attached to was there but no screw. I assumed (incorrectly) that it would be easy to ask for another without delaying my install. Amazon forwarded me to Schnieder Electric and after 2 weeks of emails told me they couldn't help. Ive spent well over $3k on Square D panels and breakers and they cant send me a screw!
