Cheap and simple
They will eventually croak out, however they are cheap and fast to change out. Moisture is your enemy, their failure is likely my fault for not having enough protection for them in remote locations.

Running it with 400W panels and still working!
First of all I was doubting getting this unit, however I went to search some more details online and decide to purchased one. It works perfect with my 400W panels from Renogy, that came with a Wander charger, however the Wander charger doesn't give you any display or info on how many watts are getting in. The unit has big and simple display, easy to read, , the holes for the cabling are big enought to fit any 10awg cable. I'm using 10awg and 12awg wire with out any issues. The buttons are ok but they may probably can improve the click part. The enclosure doesn't have any heat dissipation on the back but still pretty ok with 400w coming in. Also there is a plus on this unit which works with 12v and 24v systems. The USB also is a plus and the cool thing which I don't use it is that you can shut down the load whatever you are not using it. I think I'm over kill it but the unit still responding really good as for now. The manual is a bit confusing but if you read it a few times and play with the controller you will understand it right away and will ended setting your right parameters for your battery. I'm using a 100w 12v Wazer LifePO battery and is all day and part of the night with no issues on my little workshop using a 20w LED bench lamp and some times I add more load with some other small tools. I even charge my tools and batteries. I'm pretty happy with this unit even if this is the 30a, however when I got this after a month or two they came out with the 60a unit for almost the same price I got this one. I probably wait till this this unit ends but it works as they advertised.
