Easy install, work great
This is my first comm system owned, and so everything is working great. I have 3 HJC i90 modular helmets so I purchased a ‘2nd helmet’ harness for the third helmet. The ease of switching the unit between helmets is very easy. I was going to get the SENA 50b set that integrates with the i90 helmet, but decided to get the Cardo TP Edge so I could use on a different helmet if needed. Yes, the Cardo sticks out a little since it’s not integrated, but attaches easily and is secure, so no worries until helmet hits the ground for any reason. Cardo installation, charging and pairing to iPhone 15 Pro worked great. Only wish I could have Spotify as a music option within the Cardo app, otherwise ok. Intercom between driver and passenger riders works great with small delays and a few cut-outs once in a while, even on fully charged batteries. Most of the time it’s fine however. Audio for voice, GPS, music, is all very clear and wide dynamic range thru the speakers. I use the boom mic with the modular helmet, so just need to be careful when putting helmet on and taking it off. Highly recommended at this point.

Expensive but reliable
Ok, are they worth it yes, are they perfect no, here’s the down low. I bought these to communicate with my wife who is a new rider and they are worth every penny for that. I’ve only used these with the two that we have and they sync up instantly every time with no issue. Usually get 1/4 to a 1/2 mile range with the all the hills and curves. There’s no delay when she’s back, it’s like she never left, you can’t tell a difference. As for the commands it’s hit or miss. I found “hey Cardo”works better for me then “hey siri”. If you expect to use all the commands when riding then your setting your self up for disappointment. Set your music up before the ride on Spotify or whatever you want. The intercom will come and go as you talk and just mute the music a bit. Intercom is clear no issue. Answers calls with ease, call clarity is great. I think the whole hey cardo thing is ok , but requires exact clear verbiage of the commands. For some reason my Siri will beep in and then beep again cutting off my command but I have a love hate relationship with Siri long before I connected to the cardo. It does exactly what I need it to do, talk back and forth with the wife and play music. The speakers are pretty good, not great. Your not going to get top notch quality treble and bass out of a motorcycle helmet. There’s too many variables, like does your helmet fit properly, does it have spots for the speakers, is your helmet quiet. Do your ears line up with the speakers.. I have a AGV k6 and it’s perfect. Could it be better sound sure, but I can give some of that up for reliability. I don’t need noise cancellation except for when im talking to someone on the phone. It’s a helmet on a motorcycle being pummeled with wind noise, it’s not going to be spectacular. Plus you still need to hear what’s going on around you. Buy them you won’t regret it, except maybe a little if your me and they go on sale a week after you buy them for 100$ less on Father’s Day. Oh well.

Sound quality
I had the Cardo Custom Unit but this one is way better, loved the sound quality, the magnetic mount, pretty easy to use, bluetooth connectivity and volume control are excellent.

Pack Talk Edge
Great Product. Easy to install. Very nice sound to it. Features are fantastic. After an 8 hour day using this, it will discharge between 50% and 75%. In other words, it is good for a days ride. I do recharge every day. These are a bit pricy, but you always get what you pay for.

Quite Good Thus Far
So far, I am quite impressed. Most comm systems are gimmicky/don't completely work etc. Alot of youtube reviews rave about this unit, so I decided to give it a try with my group rides. I opted for the Edge vs Neo as I wanted as seamless of an experience as possible. The installation wasn't too bad. Got to be patient with routing around your specific helmet. Once installed, setup via Bluetooth was a breeze. Did a test call, crystal clear. Listened to music, perfect. I knock 1 star due to price. Over three hundred bucks is quite expensive. It needs to last a decade at a minimum. I am concerned that the battery is not removable. Will update review after I get some miles on the road.

An absolutely must-have for riders!
As others have said, and reviews show, you should get the packtalk edge/neo/pro. I have been using my edge for about a month now, I have gone on motorcycle rides and escooter rides around town. In both situations, the edge performs incredibly well. Voice commands work great in both sets ups. On my scooter I wear a downhill MTB helmet, which allows lots of airflow through the helmet. Even with loud wind noise inside the helmet, the audio still sounds great and no one can tell that I'm out on a ride, they say it sounds like in sitting at home. My motorcycle however, is very loud. Straight-piped 1700cc loud. Even going WOT while talking on the phone, no one can tell. I do wear a full face helmet, so that likely will play a factor when compared to using a half helmet kit, but for what I need, it works great! As far as the DMC goes, unfortunately I don't have anyone that I ride with that uses cardo. I do have a set of Cardo Outdoor and have connected to them to test and everything works fine. Connection is simple and audio is crisp. Range test has not happened yet, but hopefully soon. I have connected to other units via Bluetooth and it works fine, but audio quality seems no better than my uclear from 8 years ago. Not to say that's bad, but the speakers being better quality I expected more. My absolute favorite feature though is easily the voice commands. Mostly I just control the music and volume, jumping between radio and Spotify. Both commands work 95% of the time, the remaining 5% works after a repeat of the command, but never 2 repeats are needed. Volume control without physically touching the cardo is an amazing feature. I've never had a sena unit so I can't compare the quality, however I went with cardo due to living in the PNW (it rains a lot), since the packtalk series are waterproof. I've rode in the rain twice so far. Once was a light rain, the second time was a dense downpour. Both times I didn't have any issues with the cardo and no aftermath.

Highly recommend
Easy to install following YouTube tutorials. I wear a scorpion covert fx carbon on a MT09SP with Akropovic race exhaust. I wear hear hush earplugs. I haven’t used the Edge as a com device (yet). I have used it for phone music and podcasts and Waze. Volume is surprisingly loud. At 80+ mph I can hear my music clearly over the wind and exhaust. The mic easily picks up my Siri commands and I am able to control my music and podcasts hands free. The buttons on the side of my helmet are pretty easy to use while gloved, I really appreciate how well the roller works for volume control. All parts seem high quality. I’m happy with the purchase.

Not worth the $ but works for group rides!
Other than the speaker quality this product does the job it needs to do while riding!
