Impressive!
Replaced a bad reverb tank in a Fender 112 plus amplifier. This was a direct placement and took about 5 minutes to complete. I was impressed with the sound and functionality of this reverb tank and I’m very happy I bought it. Brought the amp back to life and sounds great!

Works well. Reverb sounds quite long. Best results when slightly underdriven.
This worked great in a small "mostly leftover parts" build I did recently (tube amp, but solid state reverb driver). I was able to drive it quite well with an RC4580. The sound quality is fine. Proper mounting is a must + they are prone to pick up both near- and far-field noise (but this is the case with most reverb tanks), so filtering is prudent. I used it in a combo and found that there is a sweet-spot middle range in terms of how hard you want to drive them. Surprisingly, I encountered the most distortion when underdriven. This is not an artifact of tank distortion so much as it is the reverb-signal to ambient vibration (cone in the combo amp). But, following the usual wisdom (driving them close to their max) results in a reverb with a decay that sounds well in excess of 4 seconds (my understanding from the part number is that is should be closer to 2s). How hard you drive it impacts the perceived duration, so if you don't want a really long sounding reverb, cut the drive a little.

Perfect fit, works great
Less than 5 minutes, replaced the old non op unit and reverb is perfect. The fit was exact, reverb sound quality is just right. Very happy. Great value.

Works well as mod
I used this to replace a broken reverb on Peavy Blazer. I followed a YouTube video to modify it properly to connect to the amp, and it works nicely. It's very good for the price. This may be an issue with the Peavy, but the reverb only seems to work between 6 and 10 on the dial. The sound is full and pleasant, with a traditional spring reverb sound, and the decay can go pretty long, with the mix creating some big atmospheric tones.

Quality spring reverb tank
Bought one in 2023 and never reviewed it! I buy, repair and resell old guitar amps as a side hustle and this works great as a replacement tank for small to medium size combo amps. Used the one I bought in a small Peavey from the 80s with excellent results.

Outstanding Value!
This was a direct replacement for my Princeton Chorus. Four screws and color coded RCA plugs makes installation a snap. I plugged in my 335 and cycled through clean, crunch, with and without chorus and this reverb really shines through. It sounds exactly like the original tank that was in the amp. Nice and shimmering on clean setting using the neck pup. A bit aggressive sounding on crunch so I just dialed down the reverb a bit and it sounds great. Awesome Rockabilly sounds. Really sweet sounding 80's tones with both the reverb and chorus dialed in. At $23 bucks, this is a No-Brainer. Unit is well made. Nice springs. Tough chassis. Even if you wanted to refresh your tired old reverb tank, this is the one to get!

Great tank for a Eurorack modular synth setup
I was looking for a new tank for my Doepfer A-199 spring reverb module. IMO, it's always had too high of a base frequency (makes it sound like the reverb is in a tiny room), and the output level of the reverb always seemed too low. I saw this tank, which has springs that are almost twice as long, and the same RCA connections, and decided to give it a go. The base frequency is much lower (like it's reverb in a big room or hall), and the output is much hotter, which makes it easier to mix back in. Also, the reverb is much more full, which gives more room to scoop out high/low frequencies with a VCF, etc. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a new flavor of reverb for their Eurorack spring reverb module, especially the Doepfer A-199.

ANALYSE
