Is this suction cup stable?

I have found it woefully inadequate. I haven't found a way to maintain suction.

How about the blade and the suction work?

Three blades can be shredded, sliced and ground. Suitable for vegetables, fruits, cheese and other foods. The base works best on a smooth work surface, which makes the suction cup work harder.
