It fit my big old ugly head just like I wanted it to, and matches my jacket and gloves After reading all these negative reviews about these caps being to tight for medium to large heads I told my wife to get out her sewing tape and measure my head, well my head measured 7 3/4. I'm 6'4" weigh 212lb 65 years old with a full head of thick grey hair fits perfect no head ache, not a pro but a series hobbyist, some times I wear the cap all day and some days for only a few hours. When I wear the helmet or face shield with out the cap I really get a head ache because I have to crank them down so tight, not so much when wearing the cap they fit over the cap and feel quite comfortable . I think the problem is how thy are manufactured, they are like jeans I order five pair from the same store usually get five pair made in different country's two pair fit three don't. For as Amazon writing fake reviews, I don't believe that for a second.th only thing I don't like is the no return , it should be told up front

Not sure why there are so many complaints about the size of this ~$6 hat. Maybe the manufacturer increased the size or perhaps they had an improperly sized batch. Considering the circumference of my head measures a whopping 25 inches, I rarely find hats that fit. However, that’s not the case here. This welding cap fits exactly like it’s supposed to fit. Yea, it’s snug, but it’s not too tight. Besides, if it were any larger, I wouldn’t be able to get the band of my welding hood over it. I would buy it again, and looking forward to keeping sparks off my noggin. Phifft, I might even wear it under my motorcycle helmet. - TBD

Not bad, it came with a hole in it though. I like the fit and I appreciate that it's a one size item. Although if you have a particularly big head I don't think it would be comfortable. It is snug but not tight on me and I usually wear like a 7 1/4 hat. It stated adjustable but I don't see that it can be manually adjusted. It just has an elastic band. Also not super hot or overly thick which is good. I'm not gonna return it but the hole is a little disappointing

It's a great hat for the reason I bought it. I use it in the shop when I'm, working on equipment up on the lift. It keeps my hair clean, and protects head a little from bumps. But it does slide up a bit. Probably because I have long hair.

While reading reviews I noticed the size was unclear so I wanted to help people out with my review. So when I received the cap I measured it at rest and unstretched at 20 1/4" with a soft ruler. My heads circumference measures 23 1/4" and it fits me perfect. There are a couple of elastic pieces on each side of the cap (approx 3" max when stretched) for extra stretch which is nice if your head is a little bit larger. I still have extra space to stretch (approx 1" ) but this might result in headaches as the cap would be quite tight. I have not used the cap yet as I have just received it but I wanted to get the size review out asap. Other than that, the cap is a nice dark black and the material is double thick in construction. I will update this review if there are any issues.

This is for welding to keep the sparks from catching your hair on fire. The hat has a thick seam around the base that settles on your forehead. Your welding helmet has a band that also goes around your head from your forehead to the back and you have to tighten it down snug so it wont fall off. After a few hours of welding, the pressure of the helmet on the seam of the cap starts to irritate your forehead. At that point I can see deep lines from the cap seam on my forehead and my head hurts. Ive been wearing the cap for a few weeks now and it hasnt improved. I dont have this issue if I only wear the helmet. I also washed it and it did shrink a bit...so now its even tighter. I will have to buy a more comfortable cap.

One size fits me! Price is right and will provide protection when needed. Seems like it will last.

My head size is about 7 1/4 and this fits incredibly well. I took a bit of a chance after seeing all the negative reviews, but had a feeling they just didnt know what they were buying. For everyone thinking of purchasing this, realize that it is NOT a baseball cap. This is a welding cap and is worn very differently than regular hats. For one, the hat is meant to go OVER your ears. So the reviews that say it pinches their ears, are just wearing it wrong. As is the case with most of the negative reviews. Like the cone-head comments, which again are from people who dont understand that the thing is meant to be worn the other way around and over your ears. The reviews that state that the 'brim' is too low or too angled or whatever. Its NOT a brim. Its a flap meant to either protect the back of your neck or the side of your head, depending on what is required. For regular use, the flap goes to the back, to protect the back of your neck. Now lets say you have to do some pipe welding. When youre under the thing, the side of your head and an ear would be more exposed than usual, so you rotate the cap so the flap is over the exposed side of your head. It honestly blows me away that people can be so stupid. Please do not listen to the ridiculous negative comments and know that if you want a well made, comfortable and affordable welding cap, this is the one.

Excellent product, well constructed. One size fits all product and it does. Usually either too tight for larger head it too loose for smaller head but with elastic band it fits well for all. My son is a ft production welder and loves his. Going to order a couple more to have on hand. For the price can't go wrong.
