3Pcs Smoothing Pneumatic Air Hammer Pneumatic Chisel bit Set

It took me years to realize the true value of having an air hammer when working on automotive and other projects around the house and garage. I bought my first one when I was just a kid but never used it until I had the opportunity to see how a mechanic friend used it in his shop and came to the realization that it is one of the handiest tools around. Can't get a stuck disk off a hub - air hammer. Can't get a rusted bolt out of a hole - air hammer. Can't separate rusted ball joints - air hammer. It's amazing how impacting rusted steel at a rapid rate manages to remove things that would otherwise take hours with penetrating oil and other tools. I think my biggest problem of not understanding the value of a hammer was the tools normally provided with one are mostly chisels. These do have value for some jobs but in most of my uses they didn't - hence it sat in my tool box collecting dust. This kit is the perfect set for doing the jobs mentioned above. They are called smoothing chisels as they can be used in smoothing out sheet metal and such but for me these are best used for separating things that are stuck or rusted together. The set includes three tools of differing lengths and diameters making them perfect for a number of things. The steel looks to be decent quality (haven't broken one yet) and they should last for a life time. Also included was a retaining spring however my hammer already has one and I doubt I'll ever need to replace it. For the price of this set and the versatility that it offers I highly recommend it. The time savings and back breaking jobs that an air hammer can solve are only limited by your creativity and the tools you have for it.

Great value. Fit the air hammer well. I was kind of skeptical of the cheap price and how that played into the quality but they are high quality. I was removing grade 12 bolts out of my control arms and was stuck, I ran the air hammer for almost 2 hours to get it out and the bit hardly even had a scratch, the bolt on the other hand was rounded and polished by the time it broke free. They work great for the price.

Fit my older air chisel and did what I needed on some heavy gauge sheet metal.

The smallest one is too short to use with air hammers with quick chucks. The collar on the one I tried had several dents in it after a few seconds of use in my IR air hammer. The heads are completely flat with a sharp beveled edge on the shorter ones, so they’d be horrible for planishing work.
