Very good Quality
Very nice kit, everything is well made, and all works with raspberry pi. They give you a long PDF of all the things you can create with step-by-step instructions. Very fun recommend it.

Highly reccomended to get started with the PI tinkering
I bought this kit a couple weeks ago to get started with the PI and learn a little bit about all the things the RP can do and control. The kit gives you a great variety of components that so far are all working fine and seem to be good quality. I didn't have any servery bent pins on any components. You'll get a download link to download the latest tutorials and source code. The tutorials are way better than I was ever expecting. They are detailed and easy to follow. The Python code has all worked. I have not tried the C or Java code. Some of the projects also briefly introduce the I2C and SPI buses of the PI as well, what you really need to utilize to connect more than a couple components to the PI. Even when you finish the tutorials most of the components can still be used in your own projects. Especially the breadboard, the breakout "T" connector, the analog-digital converter, breadboard power supply, etc... buying all these components individually will add up fast so buying a kit makes sense. If I have any complaints I wish a couple of the more complicated code examples were documented a little better. Specifically the LCD Matrix. I'm not a python (or programming in general) expert. A couple are hard to follow what's going on. This kit also suffers from the "thin resistor lead" issue that almost all resistors have with breadboards no matter what you buy. The simple solution is to bend (fold) back the last 1/4 inch of the resistor lead and crimp with a pair of pliers to double the thickness going into the breadboard and making a much more solid connections.

Great for use and learning RFID technology.
The kit is as complete as I think it can be. Particularly nice is the tutorial showing use of the components. This makes implementation and integration of the RFID functionality a breeze. The cost of the unit seems to be secondary to the detailed product tutorial making use simple and helps to determine if the functionality is right for use in your application. The components, wires, and memory capacity all seem plentiful and quality.

Works well, good service if needed.
The purchase arrived, and was as described. Unfortunately, one rather simple item, a 9V batter connector for providing power to the board for some setups arrived with neither battery connector attached electronically to the plug for the lead (neither the negative or positive side is attached to the plug). I made a mistake and reported the issue using an email address provided in the docs, instead of review feedback. They got back to me promptly from the feedback and the one issue I had is resolved. It's a very good value for the money, and contains a lot of informational and educational value. I've been programming for a long time, and this is the first time I've actually programmed to control hardware in this manner. Very interesting, and it provides a lot of food for thought about further projects.

Very Good Value yet Affordable, with a mindfully selected set of components
This is one of the best kits available at amazon in terms of value-cost ratio. It contains a variety of interesting accessories (sensors, motors, interfaces, visualization) while keeping an affordable price. As seen in the picture, it contains many of the most common peripherals to get you entertained for days plus a set of RFID devices to explore this applications that simplify and automate tasks in our daily live: access control, automated tolls, etc. It comes inside a small plastic organizer, the sensitive assemblies are inside their own anti-static bag. Though you will have to use a bigger storage for the breadboard and other medium size accessories after you fill the included organizer with the small components, but it is OK if you already own components you probably already have a bigger organizer. The pdf manual that can be downloaded even before purchase explain the important considerations of the different electronic components, you don't need to be an expert in electronics to implement the example projects, all the connections are well described, code is provided as well; you will need more knowledge though if you want to expand the projects with your own ideas :)

Excellent introduction to what’s possible with a raspberry pi
I’m probably not the typical consumer of this product, but I couldn’t be more pleased. My first university programming class was in the mid-80’s and involved managing allotted shared time on a mainframe. I didn’t have a technical degree or job that required coding, but I still found ways to write code to help. By the late 90’s, I was getting paid to write code. Eventually, I moved on to sys admin work. So, I’m very comfortable with code and with computer hardware. I know nothing about electronic circuits or programming sensors that aren’t abstracted. Ultimately, I want to have a raspberry pi control an aquarium pump in a sump based on readings of water levels in two locations. I’ve got a 180 gallon turtle tank with a hang-on overflow going down to a 55 gallon, chambered, aquarium with a pump in the last chamber returning to the main aquarium. There are two different flood my basement situations: the overflow sponge clogs and starts overflowing to the floor and the siphon break in the return line is clogged with algae meaning I get an overflow in the sump when the pump is off. After two days of working with the Freenove kit and replacing their switches with a float valve switch, I’ve basically figured out how to do what I want. I’ve brought a lot to the table: writing code doesn’t scare me nor does raspbian, the OS for raspberry pi. I’ve figured out enough electronics that I can design my circuit. That said, understand the limits of this kit: it gives you the code to control their sample projects, but it doesn’t teach you how to code your own. It tells you how to wire a circuit but doesn’t give you the background knowledge to wire your own. I’m comfortable with the code but not the circuits. For the simple project I envision, the Freenove kit has given me enough circuit knowledge that I’m ready to go forward, but know that if you aren’t comfortable with either code or circuits, this is just some very carefully guided walkthroughs. If you want to do more, you’ll need other resources. That said, for. The price, with the PDF and code download, this is an incredible bargain

Great buy, but the Arduino kits are a better value
Great buy, but the Arduino kits are a better value. Quality components. All of their documentation is hosted on github so you can mix and match the arduino and raspberry pi kits. Doing projects for the arduino that you bought for the pi requires little adaptation. The authors of the tutorials are ESL but it's not bad and requires little interpretation. The only issue I have with the tutorials are there are no explanations of the math used in determining the chosen components (size of capacitor, resistor, or current amplification of a transistor). So creating your own projects with different specifications will require some research.

Great product, combines 3 of my favorite activities!! Computers, programming, electronics. I really enjoy learning Python, making usable products, and not having to go out & buy a full-blown PC.

Superb starter kit and great customer support.
This is an excellent accessory kit is for a starter looking to get into the work of electronics or coding. The kit is comprehensive and has all you need to learn about the function of each component. From pressing button and making LEDs switch on to changing the LED colour, Controlling a motor via a dial of writing a message on a screen. The tutorial document package is downloadable and contains, instructions, explanations and code it is extremely in-depth explaining how watch component works which is then followed by a diagram and then a walkthrough of each projects pre-written code in multiple languages. All you need to do is wire are per the diagram and execute the code. I have used the customer support and cannot fault them. I felt like a valued customer and was supported fully, Thank you, I wish all companies treated you like this.

Great kit
A well paced tutorial and useful collation of sensors and bits. The software was written by electrical engineers and misses a few finesses but does the job and is serviceable. Great that it's open source so I can look at other tutorials down the track. (Ie. I want to try RF transmitters). The scripts could also do with a clean up - a few unrelated comments pasted from other tutorials, etc. Given me confidence to try a few home automation projects.

Très bon kit pour démarrer
Ce kit est complet et très bien fait, l'ensemble des composants fonctionnent et tout est rangé dans une boîte. Le tutoriel est sur le site de Freenove/Tutorial pour le téléchargement et en anglais. Mais c'est un anglais simple à comprendre sans trop entrer dans les détails techniques. Les différents projets permettent de savoir comment utiliser les différents composants avec des schémas de câblage et le code. Je recommande vivement ce kit. Attention pour les personnes qui n'ont jamais codé ou utilisé un système Linux, ça pourrait être compliqué.

A fantastic educational experience and lots of fun!
I bought this kit when I bought a Raspberry Pi to learn about circuitry and programming. It’s been almost 20 years since I last coded or played with circuits so I wanted something that would go through the basics and have good instructions, along with lots of variety. I’m having a great time with this. It’s loaded with great projects that are good for learning and there’s enough variety that it stays interesting. You also really do get a lot for the cost of this. A much better value than what I expected. The manual (needs to be downloaded) is very good and very helpful. For each project it explains the components, describes the dynamics, and explains the code quite well. I’d highly recommended this for anyone wanting to learn circuits and related coding. I think it provides great instruction and it’s really fun at the same time. Very much worth the price.
