R1 Protein,152 Servings, Chocolate Fudge

Wow, protein has come a long way in 20 years! I saw this protein recommended on YT, who actually sold the hell out of it (and im glad he did!), he pretty much said gram for gram that it’s hard to beat—especially for the money. Ive been lifting/supplementing for the past 20 years, havent been supplementing protein for the last 7 or so. I was not looking forward to powders again, but all the pre packaged ones either made me pooh, fart, or feel awful (lactose intolerant), so I needed to suck it up or change my goals. Got it in the mail today and I couldnt wait to try it out. I am blown away by the quality of this protein. It mixes amazingly, no clumps whatsoever. Texture is smooth. Taste is about as good as you can expect with protein. Ive had better tasting, but those were loaded with fats, sugars, and carbs. Nowhere near this clean. Keep in mind this was with water and not mixed in a blinder lol. Those who have been in it for a while know how god awful shakes used to be. Anyways, i couldnt be more satisfied. Well done.

I gave the Rule 1 Protein "4" Stars for Flavor simply because it's not the best flavored Protein I've ever had. Not to mention I always heard if it tastes good, its probably not that good for you. That being said, I would say the Pros/Upside of this Protein outweighs the flavor by leaps. Most importantly a pure Whey Isolate without the BS. The other tip I always heard was that the shorter the ingredient list, the better the quality, so I grabbed a random Protein off the shelf at my gym and included a pic for comparison, Obviously stacked with fillers (and very expensive). In my opinion Rule 1 is the cleanest, purest, Whey Isolate at the most affordable price. Unbeatable!

Both my octogenarian mother and teen age boy swimmer drink this brand of protein powder and love it so I get it for them. Avoid the flavors with food coloring - my 86 year old mother tried the strawberry and apparently the artificial coloring gave her side effects -- shaking limbs. She even went to the doctor for it. When she stopped the issue went away immediately. No such issue with the vanilla and natural chocolate.

I tried several different brands, and Rule 1 whey isolate is the best I have tried in my 11 years of lifting. The flavor is REALLY good, and the texture is milky smooth. It also mixes really well with yogurt, which makes it really easy to meet my daily protein goal. This is slightly more expensive than Pro Action Recor, which I feel is the best value, so I only buy Rule 1 when I am going through cutting cycles because it is somewhat of a premium item.If I can point to one downside, it is that we should NOT mix this with piping hot coffee because that causes it to curdle. I used to mix my whey with coffee so that I get my daily kick with some protein to start, but because the protein is so fine, it curdles much more easy in hot coffee (and that means you waste good coffee and good protein).

Mixes easily in my GNC protein shaker with skim milk, has smooth consistency and rich vanilla cream flavor without being too sweet. I’ve being drinking protein shakes for about 12 years from GNC and On Performance and consider this first purchase by R1 to be my new favorite. The price point is very competitive with other brands and the container lid is shrink wrapped and sealed inside to insure freshness and security during shipment. I highly recommend the product and hope they maintain the quality, taste and packaging specs to assure my business for years to come.

UPDATE 9/8:I've now been using this daily for almost six months. I continue to be incredibly happy with the results. This, combined with increasing my calorie intake and getting in the gym every day, has helped me fill out and pack on some "healthy weight." I am 6'2" and ran track and cross country most of my life, adding muscle or weight to my frame has always been a challenge. I will continue using this product unless its formula changes or the price dramatically increases.I've been taking this daily for about a month now and am really happy with my purchase. I mix one heaping scoop with ~8 ounces of oat milk each morning after my workout and have noticed a more productive recovery time and feel better in general since adding this into my routine. This mixes great (with oat milk, haven't tried anything else) and is easy on the stomach. Texture is great. It is a tad on the sweet side, but I've only tried vanilla so far (will probably stick with this regardless).

I wish i had found out about this stuff sooner. I was drinking crappy grocery store brands. Those cheap kinds are poorly manufactured with harsh chemicals and causes the protein to denature. they also have a ton of filler and extra calories. sometimes they put cheap creatine and stuff you dont want in it too.. Ive noticed quite a difference in muscle gains as well as a lot of ppl have stated. Dont waste your money on other kinds. THIS IS THE ONE! rule 1. Its actually cheaper when you buy it here in bulk. My friend was going to buy some protein and i was happy to inform him that Rule 1 is the best. I would never drink any other protein. Taste is great too. Im so happy with rule 1 that i had to go on here and write a review. as a consumer advocate i highly recommend it.

Been taking protein powders for over 20 years now and this is up there and perhaps the best. First thing I noticed was they don't do what most companies do and fill the jug up like barely over half way. It is filled almost to the top. It is very light clean tasting but a lot of times from what I have had, that means watery with minimal taste. If you are on a cut and watching every last calorie, this is a great choice. I am a huge vanilla hound and this was up there with the best vanilla I have ever had. The chocolate fudge was ok but not as good. Fruity pebbles I bought off the actual company site was good. The reviews there are correct in that it taste like the milk from the cereal. Salted Carmel was really good too.

There is a label on the lid warning of lead content in very small print.If I had seen that earlier I would have returned it but it came from Amazon US..returns seem difficult without wasting a lot of your time.WHO state any lead consumption is a no go. In Australia our pipes have an excessive amount of lead, that an advice was issued to drain your water in the morning from your drinking tap for 30 seconds in a daily basis. This is not the case in the US.Taste wise I didn't find it to my liking but that is no doubt influenced by the sticker re lead placed in the lid. Large container, so should give it away but ethically I would like to return it.

For an isolate hydro isolate, this is a very very sweet in taste. The description does not give how much sugar substitute you are consuming. Made the mistake of buying in bulk. One scoop is almost 35 gm . It claims no filler no extra stuff added , however this is so so sweet in taste that I think 3 to 4 gram will be sugar substitutes itself. Tried on isolate earlier that had less sugary taste in line with isolates .There is no bloating or stomach upset that is observed which is a good thing.If you like a good tasting isolate and do not mind high sugar substitute then go for it.Once again I am serious just putting 10 GMs of this thing in a litre of water had that sweeeet taste.

Really like the vanilla flavor, but you could get cheaper on Canada protein website for a similar product (around 20$CAD less).

I bought this product before from elsewhere and loved it. its gr8 but this time when i got it from Amazon seller, the packaging seemed off, contacted seller but the response was that they will get back to me,its been over a month ... i m still waiting
