These clips are meant to hold your towel to beach chair or lounge chair at pool (especially cruising with breeze/wind). We are traveling later in summer, but I wanted to try them out & see how strong they are. We were going to cut grass & I can't re-start lawn mower if using. My father used to tie a hanky around the handle & throttle bar. I used just ONE of these clips. The yard is big, my husband & I took turns running mower. He told me to leave the clip on for him too. It didn't slip at all, stayed shut tight whole time. When removed, it opened/closed no problems. These are very lightweight, but very sturdy springs & plastic. I imagine after a lot use in sun, the plastic may start to wear. But they are perfect to hold towels down (using at least 2 I suspect, if not 4 on really windy day), or use to hang heavier blankets out on clothesline to dry/air-out. I highly recommend and you can't go wrong for the price.

I have to be honest about these, I expect them to be stronger in terms of grip. They fine, but they're flimsy. One of mine broke almost instantly. They hold the towel into place to a certain point, obviously. That's where the grip comes in. I love the color choices, I think those are fun. The weight is extremely light, which goes into play with the grip. Like I said, they're fine. They can do the job. I'm not really sure there's much to compete with for this type of product so I would say it's probably worth the buy if you're considering.
