Brothers Guy & Howard Lawrence, aka Disclosure, have their forthcoming album Caracal releasing 9/25. Thisanticipated release follows Disclosure's highly-lauded debut Settle, which has gone on to sell 1.6 million units WW,5.3 million singles. The duo has announced a 14 city North American headlining tour that kicks off 9/29 in LA and ends 10/24 in NYC.The single "Omen" featuring Sam Smith dropped 7/27 and is climbing the chart at Top 40 radio. Review: Another Album Full Of Great Collaborations - I am a firm believer that, for the most part, when artist collaborate together on various projects the end result is amazingly better. This is proof of that statement. This album is a wonderful mix of moving voices and groovy beats. I really like how they not only pulled big names from their rolodex but also pulled some little know names into the fray. My personal favorites from this album are their remake/edit of Gregory Porters "Holding On". I also really like "Moving Mountains". Another one of the nice things about Disclosure is that they not only produce but they also sing on their tracks. This just furthers my love of their artistry. This shows how talented they are and I am sure that they have some more great albums on the way! This is an album that I constantly come back to for smooth, groovy, head bobbin' vibes! Review: My current fav! - I love every song on this album. The deluxe edition is well worth it. Kicks off from the start with cool vibes that carry into everyone's fav, Sam Smith. What follows is a mix of unique R&B dance pop. Then a great one featuring Lorde. A sure hit. In the middle there's Jaded. A song featuring the vocals of both Disclosure brothers. Next, some heavy laced synth songs, also with R&B vibes. The three extra songs included with the deluxe edition are all great too.

Excellent!!!
This CD is excellent. There are only two CD’s that I can listen to from start to finish without wanting to skip a song and it would be this one and Disclosure’s Settle CD. It’s rare that you buy a CD anymore these days that has more than 2-3 worthwhile songs to listen to. If you like this style of music, you will love this CD. The “guest appearances” on this CD are great as well. Saw these guys live at MSG and they were great too.

Awesome music
I've always wanted to buy this & I finally did. The whole album is amazing. The collabs are lit. Anyway, the packaging it came in did not seem to protect the vinyl. There's a nasty crease on one of the corners of the sleeve. Got bent through the plastic cover. Other vinyls I've ordered were protected better.

More Mellow than Settle, but still Great
Disclosure has done it again! I actually pre-ordered this cd and I can tell you I have never pre-ordered anything, but I enjoyed the Settle cd so much I that I just had to have the Caracal cd. I must say this one has a more mellow feel than Settle, but I have enjoyed all of the songs. Of course, I have my favorites on this one and tend to replay the faster tempo songs, but I don't feel the need to skip through the slower songs. I haven't enjoyed music cds this much since the 80's and the music I've bought in the past 20 years has been from that time period because most of the music today sounds alike, but Disclosure's music tends to have that 80's feel that I absolutely love. I also like the fact that these clean cut, non-drugged out young brothers from the UK have such a talent for creating this kind of enjoyable music, introducing us to artists we've never heard before and pulling in folks like me who are 55+, by making music that has that old school feel. I wish they would do a whole cd with Sam Smith with songs like Latch and Omen, which take him out of his normal slower songs mode.

Mellowed out, yet still deep and dancey... ya dig?
Do yourself a favor and buy this record now! Disclosure has matured and I can listen to Caracal from top to bottom without skipping a song. I can't say that about many albums! As for a vinyl review, each LP is180 g, pressed very well, and the sound is huge!! The album art is gorgeous too. It's a gatefold that's held together by a thick sleeve of plastic that slides off with the cat's face and album title printed on the sleeve. I'd also recommend that when you're sliding the sleeve back on, to do it at the album's opening end, as opposed to the spine end. Just makes it easier ;)

Great EDM Collaborations! Can't get enough
I heard "Magnets" featuring Lorde on XM's special coverage, thought I'd look the song up. I listened to the whole album, on Prime. Rarely do you find an album there are no throwaways. EVERY TRACK stands alone, & I can't seem to play them enough. I gotta hand it to Amazon for the whole music buying experience. Back in the day you would hear few songs off a new vinyl album, go over to Tower Records to buy it and find the rest of the songs on it were crap. You would play the good ones until the grooves were worn out, and curse yourself for not just buying the singles, and a side benefit is all those albums took up A BUNCH of space! CDs didn't wear out but still were STILL quite bulky, and you STILL ended up with a bunch of music you would NEVER listen to again. Carrying a small thumbdrive loaded with THOUSANDS of songs in the car with me is MUCH better than those boxes of CDs, Cassettes, & 8-tracks! What a revolution Amazon & MP3 Downloads have made for the last few years for me!

Buy It If You Are A Fan Already
The truth is, I do like this album. The reasons I'm knocking off two stars (although I really wanted to give it 3 1/2) are: 1. It is very pleasant but it certainly pales in comparison to the first one, Settle - an album that was a breath of fresh air and ahead of its time in a genre that I don't even normally like. 2. To reiterate the first point - this album will be enjoyed by Disclosure fans, without a doubt, but it will not win many new ones - it follows the same template, while the songwriting is not quite on par with Settle. 3. Even when you imitate your own self you're still an imitator. They've plagiarized themselves which is definitely a step in the wrong direction. 4. If Disclosure's next album does something similar, it will relegate the band to simply a decent EDM act. I believe that Settle was one of the best albums of 2013, regardless of genre, and established them as bona fide pop stars because of its strong songwriting, cleverly packaged in relatively cutting edge production. To recap - if you've already drunk the Kool-Aid, by all means buy this album, you will enjoy it. If you have not yet, do yourself a favor and buy 2013's Settle - it is a much better introduction to what's compelling about Disclosure.
