Love the Simpli-Magic Dual Trash Can. Its worth the price and investment. Plan to keep this for many years. Have it in my kitchen and ordered the custom liners. Super awesome and very happy with my purchase!

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Somewhat sturdy. Comes with NO FILTERS though described as such. Description should say has permanent filter HOLDER w/o filters. Sure I can buy them; but could've bought them all together rather than waiting. Customer service solution is to return entire thing, not contact seller, nada. Kitchen trash bags, even cinch ones, slide off easy when trying to put the insert containers back in. All in all, I should just bought 2 separate, single trash bins at Walmart, set them side by side w/ less hassle & same quality.

If you use bags for your garbage, the lids do not close, there is a ridge that supports the containers and when you put a bag in the container and loop the bag over the top, it is very difficult to get the bag to not interfere with the the fit of the container so the lid does not close.

I never thought I would be writing a review for a dual-compartment kitchen garbage/recycling system, but here I am. We recently moved into a home that had no room for ANYTHING, let alone a dual-compartment trash/recycling bin, but the Simpli-Magic 16 Gallon Step Trash and Recycling system has been an absolute gem! With a family of five, we do all we can to recycle as much as possible. And the trash, well, it is smelly, but this unit not only holds a lot, but it conceals ANY smells you put in the bins. The noise level of the lid opening using the step lever makes absolutely ZERO noise - even when you take your foot off the pedal to close the lid. The soft-close lid replaces the noisy 'clank' I am used to hearing with our old bin. And the sturdiness of this unit is fantastic. My dog recently slid into the side of the unit when she couldn't stop while chasing the cat, and there were no dents. The dog and I both looked at the unit in amazement. It is STURDY! And pretty - I have NO fingerprints showing up on the lid or on the side of the unit. In all, this garbage/recycling unit is worth its weight in gold. And now, I will be looking to get the deodorizing packs that will help with the SMELLIEST of smells, you know, just in case.

I’ve been using now for a couple months. I like the size and space for recycling and garbage. It takes a little wiggle to settle the liner into place. Overall good product. Cleans easily and looks good. I’m happy with it.
