I paid 12.49 for 1/2 of powder. The way the item is displayed is very, very misleading, which is a large picture giveing the impression that the contents of the package no matter what size you buy will be large. If the pictuere was not so in your face, the customer might get an accurate feel for what 1/2 looks . Will not buy this product again. Thanks anyway.

This is a powder. It needs to be measured with a mg scale. It needs to be put in a gel cap otherwise the taste is metallic.

I utilize benfotiamine for diabetic neuropathy and (hopefully) long-term reduction in diabetic tissue damage. I have utilized many different brands and formulations over the past 30 years and normally notice an almost immediate (days) improvement in neuropathy pain. This product did provide noticeable relief from the neuropathic symptoms, so I can attest that it is effective. Additionally, the company was responsive to my questions prior to the order. The downsides of this product are: 1) I ordered a 1/2 ounce package, which arrived in a ziplock package with enough room for a pound! This combined with no scoop (edit: found the scoop buried in the powder after a few days, so added a star) or other means to transfer the product to gelcaps, makes dosing somewhat difficult and slightly messy. 2) The price is above average at the 1/2 ounce size, although it is closer to average at the larger sizes. 3) Although I believe it to be genuine benfotiamine, there was no proof of third-party testing. This would add another star for me.

I am really impressed with the Nutra Benfotiamine Powder! I have been taking it for a little over a week now and have definitely noticed an improvement in my cognition. I am sharper and more focused, which is great because I need to be on top of my game at work. The powder is also fat soluble, so it's perfect for me because I don't always have time to eat a meal. I just mix it in with my morning smoothie and I'm good to go. Overall, I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for an effective way to improve their cognition.

I appreciate the powdered form of this B-vitamin, but when I tried to just have a small bit - it is very bitter! You can get the benefits adding to liquid, but I would be hesitant that it would make any smoothie (or high volume liquid) too bitter to drink. Better to just add it to a small amount of liquid and down it quickly or put it into your own capsules. The benefits do outweigh the bitterness. There are ways around that.
