Approx. 2mm offset diamond, And it's spaced at 4mm.

Is the waxed thread nylon?

I’m not sure. It looks like a waxed cotton to me. The kit doesn’t have anything inside telling what all of the items are. In hindsight I wouldn’t have bought it; I would have bought just what I needed instead.
