I purchased this remote in 2023 as a replacement after my original LG TV remote stopped working. I have now been using it for nearly three years. Setup was incredibly simple. I just inserted the batteries and it worked immediately with my LG Smart TV—no programming, pairing, or complicated steps required. That was a huge relief because I just wanted something that worked right away. In terms of performance, all buttons function exactly as expected. The power button responds instantly, volume and channel controls are accurate, and navigation through menus and apps is smooth. The shortcut buttons (like Netflix and other app buttons) also work properly on my TV. I use the remote daily, and I haven’t experienced any connectivity drops, or unresponsive keys. Build quality feels solid for a replacement remote. The buttons have a good tactile response—not too stiff and not too soft—and the layout is very similar to the original, so there was no learning curve. It’s lightweight but doesn’t feel flimsy. The only maintenance I have needed is occasional battery replacement, which is completely normal with regular use. Other than that, I have had no issues at all. Overall, this has been a reliable and cost-effective replacement for my original LG remote. If your LG TV remote has stopped working and you don’t want to spend a lot on a replacement, this is a great option that simply gets the job.
