Spline Socket Set 1/2" Drive Universal Metric 8-32mm 12-Point Cr-V Socket Kit 19pcs

It seems like a decade ago spline drive was all the rage at big box retailers. They are getting harder and harder to find. This complete metric kit is a great value especially considering it goes all the way up to 32. Will also work on pretty much all SAE and even some weird stuff you come across. My specific use case was to have the ability to drive conduit locknuts. The 24mm is absolutely perfect for this.

New to me looks like great qualities spline sockets you can turn square drive ! or typical hex head bolts!! Many spline shafts out there! I like it!

The quality of these sockets far exceed their asking price. The 10mm socket had a very small amount of flashing between two of the socket splines. I easily removed it with a small screwdriver. Other than that one blemish, they have a fantastic finish. I have not used them with an impact driver, I have only used them with hand ratchets. However, I have torqued on them pretty hard and have not had any issues. They fit well and truly are versatile for random fastener types you might encounter.

Very happy with the set, good for basic repairs

Although i have quite an extensive socket set, i didn't have any spline drives. I was initially looking for a small socket set that could do both metric and a/f, to keep in a classic car. However, this set seemed to cover all of that, so was worth a punt. Since it has arrived, i have checked its ability to drive MM & A/F, and can confirm that it does, with a decent amount of contact to the flats of the nut. So, shouldn't round them off. The quality of the sockets seems as good as any, no rough casting etc, no slop in the drive square, nicely machined. It comes in a blue blow moulded case, and i have been able to fit a 1/2" drive extension bar in the box as well. In summary, as a spline set its great. As a socket set to do everything - that would depend, if its for occasional use, i can't see it being a problem. However, its not going to do everything for all circumstances, when a dedicated large socket set may be better. But overall, i recommend!
