Boosted sound!
I didn't realize this product didn't come with a power adapter, but that's not a big issue for me. It's easy to setup, just plug n play. It's shiny, the noise is clean and crisp, and it gave my guitar a nice boost in sound. I can't wait to use it in conjunction with my other pedals.

If it quacks like a duck!!!
It doesn't look like a duck, but it certainly acts and sounds like a duck! Great little pedal for very little money. All you have to do is get past the looks. Sounds A(k)LOT like a "Vintage Overdrive" pedal. Oh, wait...

Noisy
I bought this when it went on sale for $10.99. I like the sound, seems to be a pretty good Tube Screamer clone. Unfortunately the noise floor jumps when switched on. I’m returning it.

Makes unusable noise all by itself
I have over two dozen overdrives and I am always looking for a circuit that regardless of price has something to offer beyond its price. This aklot vintage overdrive was $12.99, the price of a 10pack of picks. I first test it solo, cable->pedal->amp. This test group is simple, clean and only known dead quiet 6ft cables are used, the amp is a Joyo BanTAmp Zombie II with Bluetooth removed from the signal path in the amp, output speaker cable is 3ft 10ga into ThunderCAB StackGenie Quadratic plugged into 4 ThunderCABs via 6ft 10ga cables: 2 MotherTrucker10’s (Cel Vintage10/EgnaterV10) AND 2 ThunderCUBE12’s (CelV30/JensenNeoBlkbird)… I use a few different types of battery and clean power delivery devices. My primary test power is a 3 coin battery stack of 3x3VLithium=9.9volts, 9v Alkaline, 9v Lithium, 9v Lithium Rechargeable, 24.5Wh PowerBank with Selectable voltage 3v-12v at 9v, 3 different brands of isolated power distribution powered by different devices. The first thing I head was a strange noise, and this is what cause me to connect and disconnect Everything, and in the end, that noise what coming from this pedal. The was nothing obvious on its circuit board and it went in a project bag to deal with some day in the future. An oddity I have never heard from any other pedal, with my primary Noise Gate in front of it, at around 1/3rd on, it’s dead silent even with a dozen pedals of various ages and noise levels. Even at full tilt with no signal going to this aklot, it makes the same noise… testing all sorts of null signals, is what led me to find that the noise is being created by that pcb. This noise-maker is a future thing to deal with !!!
