Install was straight forward and the timer works great. The directions are simple. You need to have an understanding of wiring of course. The new box even fits inside of my old mechanical timer box!

This product worked as advertised. It was very easy to program and offers a lot of options to start and stop the pump. The wiring instructions were a little confusing for someone with little electrical knowledge, but YouTube had a great pictorial that clarified everything and the necessary jumper wires were included in the kit. The only negative is the led screen is hard to read in poor light. Overall, very satisfied with this purchase

This device is awesome and easy to use. I will never use another timer. Very reliable and secure in its boss.

Edit on 19 March 2026:Soon after my original less than complimentary review of my purchase I received a reply from Dewenils. This demonstrates a high degree of commitment to customer service and support. My original review gave the unit 3 stars and I am added a fourth due to this nice proof of support. My original review was accurate, in my view.I suggest that Dewenils create a video showing how to program the unit. This would make the installation process much easier for future customers. My suggestion of a clearer indication of unit mode is probably not feasible but still seems like a nice wish list item.Original review:I installed this unit today in about 90 minutes to control our water heater. The installation was fairly simple with removal of the previous switch taking about a third of the time. The unit is in a utility closet with the water heater and the AC blower.Some reviews mentioned how easy it is to program. Maybe it's me but I found it a royal pain with the manual being far from highly informative. Even YouTube failed me as there are many reviews but none that show the actual steps to program the device. One review on YouTube did mention that programming could be a challenge. I tried to follow the steps in the manual exactly but the step for setting the Off time did not appear as shown. I also could see anyway to cancel the step and restart the process. I BELIEVE I was able to FINALLY get a program set. We will find out tomorrow.My other compliant about the device is the tiny font used to display information in the small led screen. Even with my strongest reading glasses I need to take a strong flashlight to the closet to read the screen. This would not be so much of an issue but the only way to know whether the unit is in Auto is to read the tiny text on that small screen. Given that she-who-must-be-obeyed sometimes has the need to heat more water than normal on occasion and the fact that she might OCCASIONALLY forget to go back to place the device back to Auto, being able to easily know whether it the unit is in the desired state.A better design would be to add another LED to the panel that shows whether the unit is in Auto.

I purchased 2 units. One for a 240v water heater, one for a 120v hot water recirculation pump. Both for my home hot water system. Before ordering, I read a lot of the 1 star reviews. A lot of the reviews stated the install instructions and programming instructions were difficult to understand; display can not be read if not looking straight at it; the display screen dies after 8 months or so.InstallIt does need to be mounted in such a way that you are able to look at the display straight on. Either at standing height or kneeling height for ease of install and programming. If you have a basic understanding of electrical diagrams, these can be installed with ease. I do recommend making your own jumper wires of the same wire gauge you are using for install. This will allow equal clamping pressure when you tighten the clamp screws.ProgrammingIt did take me two tries to get it right only because I skipped a step. If you follow the instructions step by step, programming is a breeze.Display failingI guess I'll find out in 8 months if the display is going to fail. I'll update review if this happens.

Put this on my electric hot water tank so it turns off power during peak hours. It works great an was easy to connect.

Purchased this some time ago, but finally got around to trying to install today. Review the instructions and appropriate videos. I have the simplest of installation type for our pool pump: 120v/1 load. I have done some minor electrical projects previously and this should have been the simplest.First, design is very poor. There is no way to run the existing wiring properly into the small space provided. The stiff wire has to be crammed in to the space, and there is no method for securing them as they come through the sides, so they are just loose. The ports for the wires to secure are weak and come loose with the slightest movement of the box. So they easily slip out as you are doing the aforementioned cramming.Second, everything is plastic, and not very good plastic. One of the tiny screws covering the plastic housing that has to come off was already stripped. The second stripped with the slightest effort of getting it loose. So the clear plastic housing cannot go back on. Essentially the same with the small, single screw that is supposed to mount the motherboard housing back into the box. Add to the fact that the wires are crammed in there, that screw stripped the cheap plastic the moment i tried to gently mount it back in.Finally, even after wiring it correctly, double checking it, having a second person double check it, the thing does not seem to work. No matter what setting or programming I use, I cannot get it to turn the pool pump on. The power LED never comes on, and I definitely have power to the device as checked with a voltmeter.I do not recommend this purchase and am going to be looking for a different device and manufacturer.

Easy install and pretty easily programmed. But we're having an issue with it not coming on when it's in "AUTO ON" mode. With that being said we're going to do a complete reset and then reprogram it from thr beginning. I'll post an update after.

Este es el segundo temporizador que compro para mi piscina. El primero lo adquirí hace más de un año para controlar la bomba de la piscina. El reloj temporizador integrado es bastante preciso; tras aproximadamente un año de funcionamiento, solo se había adelantado un par de minutos. Ha resistido muy bien el paso del tiempo. Recientemente, decidí comprar un segundo temporizador para controlar la bomba de la fuente. La calidad y el acabado de este producto justifican su precio. No me arrepiento en absoluto de la compra.
