Spartacus International Sauna Guide: 11th edition

Disappointing on so many levels. First: all the ads. every 3-5 pages, there's a half page ad plugging their other products (Spartucus website or their app or other Spartucus books). Feels more like a magazine than a "book." Next time charge an extra buck or 2 and spare me the non-stop self-promotion. Second: there are many listings with absolutely NO description at all (example Tenerife's Stonewall). Third: the descriptions are randomly disparate. Some are descriptive and helpful (example: Banos las Termas in Puebla Mexico), others are one-liners that convey nothing (example: South Factory Club in Catina, Italy says simply, "new sauna and cruising bar in Catina", or Atrium Sauna in Strasborg says only, "Mixed on Tue & Wed"--whatever that means!). Feels very much like no one edited this (and the typos are so bad, i'm wondering if anyone even READ it before printing whatever the sauna sent them as a description). Fourth, the icons that describe sauna features are microscopic--i measured them, they are less than 1/10 of an inch square, so it's very difficult to differentiate the more than 2 dozen different icons. Fifth, they are missing saunas (i was in Florence 2 months ago and went to one, they have zero listings for that city). Sixth, the maps are misleading... on Italy's map, they include the city of Florence (even though there's no listing for it), on USA map, they have no city in Ohio present, despite listings in Cleveland and Columbus (and even Akron!). Seventh, clearly some saunas have purchased ads that look like Spartacus is raving about them (like the full page "write up" for Mann o Mann in Geneva), but dont disclose this is a paid-for ad with several pictures and a full paragraph (instead of the usual no pic, and sentence or 2 at most). And i'm not talking about the "real" full page ads that are also scattered about.Redeeming value? i guess it's nice to have a quick reference if my wifi is down--although i'd feel compelled to check accuracy of whatever is in this book with web sources. Really let me down, Spartacus. I'm a new travel agent and hoped this would help me guide some of my clients, but now i know it wont.

I did not like that this guide is not as thorough as previous ones and that there are places not even mentioned. It is OK and of some use, but should not be depended on exclusively.
