The taste is not overwhelming but not unpleasant. It is very mild. I was not disappointed with my purchase and I have shared with friends.

These are pretty delicious. My mom had me order these to give to her friends as presents. The flavor is pretty strong and you get a lot for what you pay for. If butterscotch is your thing, this will not disappoint. They are bite size, have a creamy and sticky butterscotch texture, and are good quality.

I ordered mine from the seller that makes these, Iconic Candy. They tasted better than any butterscotch candy that I have bought. I like them, and I think that they taste great, with plenty of authentic butterscotch flavor. Extra: No rootbeer candy is going to taste like it did 60 years ago. Because, sassafras which containes safrole, which is used for flavor was outlawed. It is often said, that it was outlawed because it was a carcinogen. But, the real reason that it was outlawed is because it can be converted into a drug.

There's a lot of butterscotch candy on the market that is not the best tasting. This one however I have had on and off since my childhood and is one of my favorites.

When I saw the Reeds candy on Amazon I just had to get some. This was one of my favorite candies when I was around 13 or 14. I would buy a roll on my way to school hide them in my desk. Web were not permitted candy during class but I could sneak them into my mouth while the teacher was going on and on about a subject. I think they were wrapped in clear cellophane. When I sucked on them they were hard and smooth. The flavor was fantastic. I had hoped to experience the same pleasure. I purchased the 24 roll box. When I removed a piece from the roll I noticed that the cellophane has been replaced by waxed paper and the shape was different than when I was a kid. they are thick in the middle where the original were concave in there middle. When unwrapped the candy looked rough and not transparent. Then I put it in my mouth. The candy had a soft coating coating as if the candy had not been cooked long enough to produce the hard smooth sensation of my youth. The flavor was not pleasing and I think the candy was stale. I think the problem was that the candy may have been in storage at a warm temperature. Needless to say I will not be purchasing more of this stuff.

It's OK. I would have liked a more intense flavor and creamier texture

I like this brand and flavor. However, the quality was inconsistent within each roll. Some of the discs were fine, but every roll had at least 3 that were soft and sticky. I'm thinking maybe one end of the box was exposed to heat.
