It's thicker then paper but not metal

Rubber wall sticker come with the package you pull one and attach to the butterfly and the other side sticks to the wall. Very easy to use.

could these be used with water/water beads in a cylinder vase for a centerpiece

the metallic ones yes probably but like the pink ones are too papery for that to work
