Best Intake for Honda Accord
Installation: The intake was pretty easy to install (even without prior knowledge about intakes) with the instructions provided. While there was a few things I was confused about, there was a video on YouTube from K&N that helped with the installation. They give you all the parts you need to install it and the only trouble I had during the installation was loosing a nut in the engine bay (stupid mistake). However that minor inconvenience doesn't change the difficulty of the installation. The only real pain me and my buddies had was the heat shield bracket. Later in the installation you have to put a nut/screw in upside down and if you aren't careful you can drop it (like I did). Here's some pros and cons of the intake so far... Pros: - Will easily add horsepower and torque to your car - intake sounds really good (in my opinion) - Improved throttle response time - (possibly) better fuel economy -- still testing this Cons: - Increased maintenance (make sure to clean your intake filter out every so often so you don't have to buy another one) - Water Ingestion (be careful of water if your car sits really low to the ground like mine does) Feedback: after installing the K&N intake, you could definitely feel and hear the difference it makes. I would 100% recommend this one over the other ones you see for a cheaper price. K&N is a reputable company and I would definitely buy again! Very satisfied

Easy install, lower and mid RPM's enhanced
Easy install, lower and mid RPM's enhanced. You can most certainly feel the difference before and after installing this. Also, it has a nice sound or growl to it. Just be sure to keep up with the maintenance, as in cleaning the filter regularly. Depending on where you live it can get pretty nasty and dirty pretty quick.

Worth every penny
I knew it was gonna be good from the videos I’ve seen, but actually getting to hear and feel the performance from this intake in person has been awesome! Install was simple, and it looks fantastic. You won’t regret it

Satisfied, but not overjoyed
My satisfaction at the end result of this product was slightly above average. I have a 2009 Accord LX, which I always love to just goof around with (VTEC just kicked in yo). Don't get me wrong, the car sounds great to begin with, but NOW, it sounds like a monster. Literally. Anytime over 3000 RPM it'll start 'growling'. It's a very deep, powerful sound. I loved it at first, but grew annoyed by it. If you give the pedal more than 1/3 of a push you'll distinctly hear the power of the intake. Its VERY loud. A nice way I like to look at it is it's like having an exhaust on the front of the car that you only hear it when you really rev, which is great because while cruising below 25, you really can't hear anything. There a few reasons for my dissatisfaction. It makes the car sound powerful. Which should be a good thing, right? Not particularly. I have a 4-cylinder car. It makes my car sound like an 8-cylinder. It just doesn't feel right. The car itself isn't fast in any sense and the noise makes it seem like it is. I feel like a teenager driving in an old Civic with an obnoxious exhaust. I'd floor it and it would sound spectacular but wouldn't really go anywhere. The thing that would really grind my gears the most was this high pitched vibration noise. It was almost like something was loose or vibrating, and when I checked all the parts, nothing was loose. It drove me crazy. Imagine revving your engine and hearing a rattle almost every time. That was what really frustrated me. The car is much more responsive, but nothing significant. In terms of improved gas mileage, I didn't notice that much. Another disappointment was that this kit is illegal in my state and isn't carb exempt. I removed it because I would fail any visual inspection, not to mention I'd get a big fine if a cop asked to see under the hood. Luckily, the people at K&N are very courteous and offered a full refund. I had a great time with the kit, but it isn't worth it on a heavy 4-cylinder car and in a state where it's illegal. Overall, I don't think it's worth the money for a loud sound and slightly improved car responsiveness. But if you'd like to make your car SOUND powerful (and pretty cool) and if it's legal in your state, go for it. It was a pretty fun experience.

Below 3k rpm it has a nice throaty sound
Below 3k rpm it has a nice throaty sound. Wide open throttle is s bit loud for my taste. First mpg comparison was very encouraging, bit need a couple more tanks to confirm.

Obnoxious noise, OEM seems more powerful
I have always been a huge K&N fan, and have had their products on multiple cars, trucks and motorcycles over the years. This kit however was a major disappointment. The installation was straightforward and easy, and the end result was an awesome looking intake. Then came the test ride. Below 2,500 rpm the noise was subtle, however over 2,500 rpm or climbing a grade, this is one of the most obnoxious sounding things I have ever heard. I love the sound of a rumbling V-8, and the wail of in inline six, but this thing sounded like a swarm of angry bumblebees. I drove it 50 miles and put the stock intake back on. The car actually seems to have more power stock, which is probably why Honda employers very smart engineers to design their products.

Better response, gas mileage as advertised.
Works as advertised. Better airflow, better low end power. Not a racing guy, but definitely helped with seemingly sluggish low end. Noticed fuel economy rose. Product works as advertised. K&N, has quality products. But as reading other reviews, some cars, there is just nothing can help performance. My Accord has the weirdest air intake, and surprised at it’s design, which restricts the air, giving a choking feeling to driving car. My shift points went down( Manuel shifting), sure contributes to better mileage.

Upgrades on older model vehicles are a bit less economical but this specific upgrade is worth it. You will feel the difference the moment you install the intake system; faster accelaration, louder growl, and a slight blow-off valve sound after the air intake action. This specific upgrade will require to remove the entire stock air intake system for your information. Installation is pretty straight-forward and you can do in less than an hour provided that you have every tool necessary. It's on the higher cost but fuel ecomomy is also improved a bit and overall driving experience is much more fun; it's silent on normal driving and growls when you need to be. Well worth the price I paid for it overall.

Bought and installed for 2009 Honda accord EX. Fairly easy to install and figure out. Some noticeable differences after installing: -faster acceleration and you can feel the increase in torque. -stepping on the gas pedal a bit gives the engine a nice roar Overall, not a bad investment for your vehicle and I love it!

Took an industrial mechanic and an engineer 40 min to install, really easy if you can hold a wrench and a screwdriver, sounds normal when driving normally but if you put it on the floor you'll hear it for sure, never thought I'd hear the v-tech of a 4cyl accord but here I am !

I just installed the intake and the sound is OLALALALA. i couldn’t believe this is my car and it’s totally worth the it for the price. 👀

Everything was good except the intake tube. I contacted k&n and they sent me the right one. The noise is good and the quality is perfect.
