Don't waste your money
I am a professional artist working with coloured pencils. I thought I'd these a try after all the hype. What a disappointment! The Blender pencil and the long stick are exactly the same. Heavily waxed, and leaves a terrible wax bloom at the lightest touch. They may work for the Caran D'ache pencils because they are wax based. But for oil based pencils such as Derwent Lightfast and Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils they are in my opinion not suitable.

Der Caran d’Ache Blender Stift überzeugt durch seine sehr hohe Qualität und ist ein hervorragendes Werkzeug zum Verblenden von Buntstiftfarben. Farben lassen sich damit gleichmäßig ineinander überführen, ohne matschig zu wirken oder an Intensität zu verlieren. Besonders bei Schichtarbeit sorgt er für saubere Übergänge und eine sichtbar ruhigere Farbfläche. Insgesamt ein sehr zuverlässiger Blender, der das Arbeiten mit Buntstiften deutlich aufwertet und für kontrolliertes Verblenden ideal ist.

Je dessine des œuvres réalistes avec des crayons de couleur. Un mélangeur est un outil essentiel et j'adore ces deux mélangeurs Caran d'Ache qui se complètent parfaitement. Chacun crée des effets légèrement différents, l'un plus brillant que l'autre. Cependant, cela peut varier d'un artiste à l'autre selon le style et la technique. Excellente qualité.
