First impression of the STC-1000 Non-WiFi Temperature Controller is that it is a solid unit and should last. The configuration of controller is very easy once you're clear on the different parameters. I was up and running within 10 minutes of taking the controller out of the box. The controller is working fine turning on and off the heater to the aquarium. I've noticed that the temperature shown on the controller is 1 degree F hotter compared to 2 other thermometer used as reference. The controller allows you to calibrate and set offset for the temperature difference. Again, the controller seems solidly built and looks like it will last, but I've only had this controller for a few days so I will reserve judgement on the durability and sturdiness. Overall, the controller is reasonable in price, looks well built, and will give you peace of mind.
