Well-made, pretty and very responsive
I have used this controller for years and it's well made, pretty, and very responsive. I love seeing the works inside.

works well, usb cable not permanently attached though
I thought the usb cable would be permanently attached (I want to use these at trade shows for my video game so people don't walk off with wireless controllers), but it's attached to the controller with a normal usb micro-b sadly. I guess I'll try epoxying the cable into the back. The controller seems to work well so far as a 360 controller replacement (which have stopped production, RIP). It feels heavy and high quality, and you can turn off the incredibly bright LEDs with a button on the back that I've only hit once accidentally.

Cool Blue Look; Same Great Taste
It is what is advertised. Interestingly it feels a bit nicer than my other Afterglow 360 controller. That one's d-pad wore out after using it for basically all of my PC gaming since 2013 so I was pretty sure I wanted another one of these. Maybe it's just because it's new but all the buttons feel more responsive on it. The only thing that's significantly different is that you can unplug the cord from the controller whereas my other model was hardwired into it. I'm not sure if that's good or bad but it seems like it'll be nice for storing it or replacing the cord if there's an issue and the controller part still works fine. Plus, it has those cool blue lights in it. It gets the job done and I'm pretty confident it'll last me a good few years, which makes it a damn good deal considering the price.

Came defective, replacement was defective, replacement replacement was defective.
I purchased this back in April, and within 2 weeks of barely using it, the left stick continuously registered as being "pressed left". I tried it on two different Xbox 360 consoles, and on a Windows PC, same problem every time. The stick itself seemed fine; it wasn't stuck and it sprung back to position every time, not at all feeling like it was out of place or worn out. I contacted the company, filled out a warrany form, and they sent me a postage-paid sticker to send the controller back to be replaced. The replacement came a month later...with an "X" button that was so loose in the controller, within a week it would register a button press if you even nudged it on the side of the button or grazed it the wrong way. I figured "it's only the X button, at least the sticks work properly this time, I'll take my loss and work around it". Wrong. Within the next week, the same exact problem with the left stick acting like it was being held down left came up again. I contacted the company again, and they told me to send it back. However, this time, they did NOT send a postage paid mailing label, and I had to pay out of pocket for it. A month later, I got the controller back. I was using it every few days for maybe an hour or so each session of play, and don't get me wrong, I WANTED it to work. It feels good to hold, it worked well as a wired controller, and it feels like it would be a good substitute for an official controller. However, here we are in November, 4 months after I got the controller replaced for the second time, and THE SAME PROBLEM with the left stick HAS COME UP AGAIN. I have already spent as much money on this controller as I would have for buying an official Xbox 360 controller off of Amazon, and I have no want to try to replace it again. I don't think I want to buy ANY product from this company again; which is a shame, because I had SEVERAL OTHER controllers from them for the PS3, Wii, etc., and I never had problems with them, which is why I went out of my way to find a 360 controller from them. Sorely, sorely disappointed.

Sturdy and reliable
Fantastic controllers. Didn't know I already had it for a couple years. The thumb grips got worked up, but nothing a few replacement I've found on Amazon can't fix. I can't really say much about the lights. Many people like it and they do work properly. But as a controller itself, this is definitely the best and pocket friendly out there. The wire isn't frayed, the cover is still intact, the connector isnt broken, everything is ship shape. For about three years of using it, it didn't let me and my brother, and I guess my sisters down. The fix was shortlived because the screw holes let up. Could've taped them together but oh well. Bought a new one and it still holds up for months now. I'm happy with this controller. Another thing I've noticed, some games are a bit hissy with the controller, and therefore need original microsoft controllers to perform seamlessly. Just letting y'all know. Still the best third party controller.

Bright!
After plugging it in to my PC for the first time, the lights turned on immediately. Appearance wise- this looks awesome! The resistance on the triggers and the buttons (RB & LB) is little less than the original Xbox controller, but I think I will be okay with it. There is more resistance on the left trigger than the right trigger. Also, the feed back on "X" button is weaker than the other three. And no, it's not because my right hand is the dominant hand. I felt these as soon as I held it and started pushing buttons. Another thing I noticed was that the finish on the right side corner is not smooth (the part where your palm touches); the bottom piece sticks out about 1mm outward. It's very very very subtle and it seems soooo insignificant, but I can feel it. I think anybody can. So every time I re-position the controller in my hand, it irritates me. On the positive side, it has small button on the back. You can turn the light off if you want. It has on/ off/ active mode you can cycle through. It looks sick paired with my laptop. Overall, I am happy with this new controller. It's almost perfect, but not 100% though. Edit- After playing for couple hours I noticed one more thing that's different. It's the position of the "Start" and "Back" buttons; they are farther away from where they used to be. I'm still having hard time getting used to it. I use those buttons a lot for the game I play. I have to press "Back" button constantly for the map, and use "Start" button to change car, change song, etc. Not a big deal. Just letting you know.

Excellent Warranty Service (and Longer Than Listed)
It works just as well as the official Xbox controller. It glows in the dark, so I can switch off all the lights and plays games in a dark room. But you know that already. So I am gonna tell you about my experience with the customer service and warranty. I think the warranty period for this controller is 90 days or something. (Most game controllers and mice have three to six month warranty.) I think I bought this controller in May 2014, and its A-button broke in November 2014. The internal spring of the A-button had lost its elasticity. When I pressed the A-button, it would stay down and not bounce back up promptly. That is a very common problem with the A-button because it is the one that is repeatedly pressed and abused the most. So I called up the manufacturer, knowing that the warranty period had expired. I had to call a few times because no one picked up the phone during the first few calls. When I finally got to speak to a customer service rep, he told me not to worry about the warranty. He told me to send the controller back, and they would send me a new one when they received the broken one. I did not have to include the original box or packaging, a printout of the receipt or invoice, or anything else that originally came with the controller. I just had to put the broken controller in an envelop and send it back. I sent it back in its original packaging with all the original materials and a printout of my receipt from Amazon. Then they send a new one to me within a week. (P.S. Their office is located near where I live.)

Same as AX but New with some tricks?
Just like the original, it's pretty much the same. This smart track stuff? I can't find anything on it so I assume it makes the analogs better to compare to the actually Microsoft product. PREVIOUS review on earlier product --- I wrote a review on the Green AX version and while that version boasted problems it was fine for those who wanted to use emulators. The right analog dead center was awful, it got stick drift as well, while the left was completely fine. The rubber did come off eventually. Product Review --- I ordered the blue since I got green last time. Why did I choose Afterglow again instead of the wired Xbox 360 controller? The reviews and positivity on the new Afterglow controller, to which shame on you guys. While the controller or well analogs have improved its still the same controller as its AX brother. No new Xbox Guide button, crappy rubber on the analogs still and the analogs still aren't perfect. So let's look, the controller feels the same and weighs the same. Buttons work fine and the D-Pad is a squeaker. Probably a me problem. Most people probably buy these for playing emulators on Pc which is perfectly fine but.. If you wanted to game on the Xbox don't expect to be marksman McGee. While the analogs at least for me have improved slightly it's still difficult to aim. On the bright side, the lights aren't as bright in the new model. 3/5 Pros* -Hooks to a pc -Is wired, no batteries -Decent quality build -Can last for a long time with moderate care (my green ax version is still running after 3 years) -Lights up AND does not blind you! -Analogs Slightly improved with Smart track Cons* -No new Xbox Guide button -Analogs slightly improved with Smart track -Can be squeaky, more of a personal problem -Still using old rubber from AX versions on analogs Bought from Amazon, no third party seller. Conclusion? If you need a controller but don't need to be super accurate at shooting and playing games on pc and don't mind flashy lights, then this is for you. If you need to be accurate and want a sturdier build quality, I'd advise to look into an actual Microsoft controller.

Good
As good as the real thing, build quality and feel wise. Works with a PC/Steam with no configuring. The led's flash and strobe in different games, such as drawing bows in Skyrim indicating when fully drawn etc. Would buy again.

Buon prodotto
Ottimo articolo. Paragonabile all' originale.
