Once the B816-01 battery pack is inserted into the charger a blinking green light on the charger will indicate the battery is charging. A solid green light will indicate a fully charged battery. Total charge time is approximately 95 minutes.

How long does a full battery charge last?

The 8250 battery lasts approximately 12 minutes in heavy duty applications and 25 minutes in light duty applications. The estimates provided are based on average use and actual runtimes may vary.

What’s the main difference between the Dremel 8250 and the 8240?

The 8250 features a brushless motor that provides more power, more runtime and more speed vs the 8240 brushed motor.

Are the 8220 & 8250 batteries cross-compatible?

No, the 8250 is not compatible with Dremel 12V battery pack model numbers 875, 880, B812 & B814 which are intended for use with the Dremel 8220. The B816 12V battery pack is intended for use with the 8250 and not compatible with the Dremel 8220.
