The top of the horizontal rail is 16" above the floor

This product is very quick and easy to assemble and when complete the whole structure is rock solid. Excellent in all aspects and at a lower price than most competitors. The tubes are strong , solid and well finished. Those who have suggested instability must have wonkey floors or have not assembled the device correctly. E A Cox
