Had a lightning strike destroy 2 computers, my ISP router and my personal routerLightning traveled through the Broadband connection through the router through the Cat5 connections to destroy 2 computers via Cat5 connectivity. Go figure.This should mitigate this threat from ever happening. I realized that my APC had and RJ-11 connection to protect against a surge like that but that's after the fact. I now have the broadband connection running into my APC.But I was committed in setting this up to see if it works. It does so beautifully.Refer to the diagram it should answer all your questions.

I plan on using these for a long run to my Starlink dish and router in an off-grid location. I wanted to avoid Ethernet as the location of the dish exceeds the recommended length for a single Ethernet run (I also don't like the idea of running a long string of copper between my dish and house as we have a lot of lighting storms.)I tested the units inside my office for a couple of weeks in place of my existing Ethernet cable and never even noticed they were there and worked perfectly. The low power requirements also make this perfect for my off-grid scenario.

I use this product to replace my failed units install for a few years and they work very well. I recommend them to anyone needing a replacement for your environment.

Device does exactly it says it can do. Rugged metal enclosure, very small foot print, simple.Great little through down and extend the network. We use in production to send ptz control to our cameras thousands of feet away.Amazon ,however fails at shipping this item. Same or next day is an outright lie. Purchased these units based on promised delivery date...Will continue to purchase this because they simply work.

With two of these paired together, they worked just fine and I got full gigabit speeds. After a few weeks I had an issue where both SFP modules stopped working so I reached out to 10gTek at their Amazon seller address. Amy was great to work with and sent me out two new SFP modules so the units are now working well again.

Great option to easily run long fiber cable at home. Plug and play simplisty.

All connections solid. Worked as described.

Bought this to place between ISP modem and internal network managed switches/devices. Pretty much plug and play. Purchased the 1M BeyondTech SC/UPC to SC/UPC A/B fiber patch cable. A/B connects where A is in RX on both devices and B is in the TX on both devices. Plug in power, connect one RJ-45 to ISP Modem and one RJ-45 to internal managed switch. No change in ISP speeds. 16ms PING from San Antonio to Ft. Worth, 230mb/s download (200mb/s purchased) and 12mb/s upload (10mb/s purchased). No drop in throughput and truly plug-n-play simplicity. Did this as a test for my personal office will now do the same for the house. Also will look at getting fiber optic in length to run between main switch at the house and remote rooms that while WiFi works, hard-wired would be so much better.

I inserted these 2 units into my network, between the Cisco switch and my audio streamer. This broke the electrical connection and replaced it with a fibre optic one. This has the advantage of not transferring electrical noise from my server. I have powered the last optical receiver in this chain, not with the supplied power adapter, but with a spare 5v 1amp DC lead from my linear power supply. I'm very pleased with the affect on my hifi system.

I ordered 4 of these devices as I needed 2 fiber runs joining in the middle with a switch. I was trying to address a bandwidth issue with my existing powerline adapters trying to play Blueray movies from my NAS. All my issues were resolved, and from the furthest point, I am getting less than 0.5ms response to the router. Very much plug and play, highly recommended!

Got this to run fibre from my home office to the front room so the smart TV didn't keep buffering over wifi, so easy to use just plug and play with one at each of the fibre cable and all my buffering problems have gone.

Initially I couldn't get this to work when connected to my TP-link T2600G switch and LC multimode cable and Gtek module. The support I received was excellent and I managed to get full speed from the device. The network switch setting was changed to Auto Duplex.

Excellent, repaired network connectivity.
