I bought two of these and will be helping a friend connect them to his new mac mini. I opened one and the HDMI connection worked fine. The USB C did not. To test the cable out, I then connected the USB C cable I had recently gotten with an external drive. This worked with the monitor just fine! Now I will need to figure out the difference. The first cable that failed for this is normally connecting my mac to an iPad. This cable both charges and transfers data. Not too sure why the monitor made it struggle. For those other reviews saying they could not connect via usb c port... need to try another USB cable. If people ask, I will look up the external drive I ordered here that came with the cable. OH, one small silly thing... Amazon sent these 2 monitors in a giant box that could have held a mini fridge. I guess there were out of smaller boxes? lol

If you like to fiddle around with color adjustments, this low-priced monitor might not suit you because it comes fully pre-adjusted for unbiased skin tone rendition. There are not-so conveniently placed buttons on the back of the monitor, but don't touch them until you power it up and check the color balance and picture quality. I found it to be exactly to my liking, which means I'm glad those buttons are not in open site so nobody fiddles with them. I have used ViewSonic in the past, and I trust the brand. That counts for something in my philosophy.

I took away a star rating since it was falsely advertised as USB-C equipped . It was shipped with only a HDMI cable. The only cable that works in the USB-C input port is a Thunderbolt cable, and I was lucky enough to have a Thunderbolt 4 cable already in my possession. Regular USB-C cables do not work, I tried them all. With the Thunderbolt cable I was allowed to use this display as a monitor for my Mac Mini M4 computer. I took away another star because there was no included instructions on how to use the control buttons on the rear to set up the display. I was able to do so only through trial and error. The display colors look great only when you are sitting in a straight 90 degree angle in front of the monitor. Above or off to the side, the display looks pale and washed out. I would have given back a star if it included a camera like an iMac or Macbook.

Great for Working, not sure why somebody would buy other, great great great value for the money, I'm a developer I bought 2 and now I'm able to work in one calling micro-service in one screen, other responding micro-service in the other screen, and keep up to date with the discussions with my team in slack on my mac's original screen, this is heaven. Also I recommend a couple of monitor mounts that allow you to move things around and vertical etc. Again, GREAT VALUE FOR THE MONEY

I purchased one, and power came over USB-C, but not video. I manually changed the video input to be USB-C and it could not find a signal...not on my Macbook M1 Air, my MacBook Pro M1 Pro, my Lenovo Gaming Laptop (RTX 4060). HDMI would display an image, but never USB-C. Since the main reason I bought this was for Power and Video over USB-C for my Macbook Air (which only has two USB-C ports) I am extremely disappointed that this didn't work and NEITHER DID THE SECOND ONE I BOUGHT! I assumed the first was defective, so returned it and bought a second. That one behaves the same exact way. The second image down on this product description clearly shows the USB-C as "15W Powered USB-C - Audio - Data - Video - Charging". With a heading of, "Less Clutter More Efficiency. One Cable Solution". And just incase someone might say, "Well maybe it doesn't work with a Mac?" and they didn't read that I tried my Windows 11 machine as well...lets just mention the color profiles include one that says, "MAC". Very disappointing.

Viewsonic has made great monitors since CRT days, and this one continues in that tradition. I bought two as gifts and they certainly support the perspective that buy a solid brand name is a plus for something you look at all the time! Highly recommended. Great colors with no adjustment, great text, great monitor.

Compré el ViewSonic VA2447-MHU en abril de 2024 y hasta ahora me ha salido muy bueno. Lo uso prácticamente todo el día para trabajo y uso personal, y no me ha dado ninguna falla, sigue funcionando de manera estable. La calidad de imagen es bastante buena para ser Full HD, los colores se ven bien y no cansa la vista después de varias horas. El diseño con bisel delgado también le da un aspecto moderno en el escritorio. En general, es un monitor confiable para uso diario. Si buscas algo que puedas tener encendido muchas horas sin problemas, este cumple muy bien.

This is an EXCELLENT screen for all uses EXCEPT for gaming and art ! If you are gamer or artist you could buy MUCH MUCH HIGHER Hz and more colour-rich Screen. but for the AVERAGE PERSON... it is very good option. Neither a Gamer nor an Artist... it is an excellent screen and I am honestly a happy buyer. On the margin: The package came in an excellent shape. Thanks so much Amazon.

El monitor cumple muy bien su función, aunque al final no lo he ocupado con usb-c, use el hdmi.

I bought this monitor specifically because I only had a USB Type-C port available on my laptop to use. The HDMI output is going to a different monitor. When using USBC, this monitor doesn't properly go to sleep and doesn't properly communicate with the computer. When the computer tells it to sleep, the monitor seems to think the computer has just disappeared and flashes the "No Signal" message for hours. Eventually it turns itself off, and when it does, it will no longer be seen by the computer and will not turn back on when the computer tries to wake it up. In order to wake it up I have to pull the USBC plug from the laptop and plug it back in. That's obviously ridiculous. I contacted ViewSonic about this and they were no help. I asked them to test one on their side to see if this was an issue with my specific monitor and they didn't. I asked them to send me an adapter and I'd test it for them myself and they didn't respond. I tried using an HDMI connection and everything worked fine. I bought a USB-C to HDMI adapter and now it's all working fine using the HDMI input on the monitor. Note that this monitor doesn't ship with a USBC cable, so I had to buy one of those with the monitor. Then I had to buy a USBC to HDMI adapter, making that cable useless and costing me more money all just to end up using it as a basic HDMI monitor. Note that they make a version of this monitor without USBC input and it's cheaper. So I paid extra for the one feature I specifically wanted and that feature doesn't work properly. I don't expect I'll ever buy another ViewSonic monitor after this experience.

This ViewSonic VA2447-MHU 24 Inch Full HD computer monitor met my expectations from the picture quality but really disappointed me with the stand it came with. The stand is very poor quality and no adjustments at all. The monitor tilt down when on this stand and I had to keep a thick book under the front portion of the stand base to keep it up. Buy this monitor if you are planning to hang it with a VESA mount. (The monitor supports VESA mount.)
