Zinus 5 Inch Metal Smart Box Spring with Quick Assembly, Queen | Mattress Foundation with Fabric Outer Cover, Strong Metal Frame, Easy Assembly

I bought a vintage metal bed, I love it! It didn’t have enough cross braces to support my mattress. I bought a bed slats from Ikea that took 2 hours to put together, but didn’t fit well. It worked great, but the slats were visible along the edges and I had to find something different. I tried the bed slats I used on my previous bed. They didn’t work at all! My mattress is good quality but weighs about 150 pounds. Then I added a bunkie board on top of the slats. That didn’t help either. I had a huge sag in the middle of the slats. Not to mention terrible back pain every morning. I finally ordered this mattress foundation. This is just what I needed! I got the newer easy to put together model. It is truly a DIY friendly assembly. It is the easiest assembly of any product I have ever purchased. A much appreciated bonus is the racheting Allen wrench included to make assembly more pleasant. Don’t throw this away! The foundation fits my bed just right and supports my lovely 150 pound mattress very well. I think of it as a substitute for a traditional box spring. The queen size is about 5” high. And to top it off, it is less expensive than the other options that did not work as well! I would buy this again for any mattress support situation in the future.

Had purchased one a few years ago and it is great, but the newer versions are much easier to assemble. Height is perfect if you need a low profile box spring.

Ordered the 5" Queen size. All parts were there. Assembly was easy, parts fix fine with no need for "tuning" anything. Appears to be very sturdy and I don't see the possibility of anything warping like may happen with wooden parts. We have a wooden bed frame that this fits on/in and because this is metal it slides a little. I'm going to add some "Allagator" tape (where one side of the tape is like a heavy gauge sand paper) to the metal frame which should stop it from sliding. So far I would recommend this.

It’s a metal frame, but instead of feeling solid, it’s extremely noisy. Every movement causes loud squeaking and creaking.If you share the bed with a partner, this becomes a serious problem. Even normal movement makes noise—but anything more active makes it much worse. Honestly, having sex on this bed is not recommended, especially if you’re not alone in the house or apartment. It’s that loud.At this point, I can’t even get into bed without it making noise. I’ll even add a sound clip so you can hear how loud it is—I’m literally just turning from one side to another.Highly not recommended. Save your money and look for something better built.

Easy to assemble picture directionsI am 67 and I laid out all the pieces before I started . Just be sure to keep the sides marked “up” all up . The 8 screws are a little challenging because they use an Allen wrench and you can’t make a complete turn w it . However it’s easy to stand up on one end for better access to the screws . I was able to carry it into the bedroom by myself . Fit the queen bed frame fine .

Easy to assemble. Sturdy. Only down side was the slats. Mattresses these days are made differently with foam, gel, etc so the slats don’t give total support. We had to add a thin plywood on top. Otherwise it works fine for our use.

Really is just what I needed. I changed out a mattress/box spring on my bed and the thing looked like Princess and the pea's mattress. It was so high it looked ridiculous! I looked for a box spring that didn't have the height. I didn't realize you could get a shorter one (low profile) , till I looked on Amazon. It did the trick! The bed looks normal now. This is not a box spring. it is a sturdy metal frame. it had to be assembled. But it does come with a cover, so it looks like a box spring, once assembled. It's made good and looks to me like it will hold up a long time

The Sinus twin boxspring worked great for my needs at a good price in the size that I needed, 5 in. The quality is very good and sturdy and fits a twin frame perfectly. I plan on putting a air mattress on top of it for visitors.One piece was missing on the tip of a cross rod, lost in the shipment but the company responded quickly and replaced it immediately. Good customer service! Recommend buying this if you need a good twin box spring.Update 9-14-25. Twin box spring started collapsing periodically. Unfortunately I had to buy wood slats to support it so it wouldn't collapse.

Went together easy no problems moving it

The hybrid mattress I bought for my bed with drawers underneath, was just a little too full/wide to be able to tuck the sheets under the mattress without having to wreck my fingers on the tops of the drawers. So purchase this, and ahhh...perfect. And it was so easy for one person to assemble...so much was just unfold, click/lock into place!! And the allen key was a ratchet style!!! Fit perfectly too. Great purchase.
