This is by far the best trash can I have ever seen. It is large enough to hold a weeks worth of trash. Sleek and beautiful, it looks great in the kitchen with our other stainless steel appliances. The battery operated lid opens with the wave of a hand. It has odor filters so you never smell what is inside. Love it!

I love this already. It’s ex-large so it can still hold a trash bad full of trash. It’s quiet and it’s taller by 2 inches than the last one. If you walked by the old it could open. It’s beautiful too, has a filter for odors, shipped great, packaged really well so no scratches or dents!. Great buy for money and you don’t have to use special trash bags! Thanks!

I've purchased 2 of these now. The first one worked well for about 5 years before the motor on the lid went out. At about $70, that's not the worst investment. I thought about maybe trying some other trash cans, but looking around, this one is basically the only one that really fits the intersection of features and price. Pros: Can use as both battery AND plug in for power. If you happen to have a nearby outlet, you don't have to ever swap batteries, which is a big plus. Almost no other trash cans I saw had this feature. Sturdy. The body of the trash can held up well for the 5 years we had it, no major dents, no major scratches. Reasonable price. For automatic trash cans instead of pedal activated ones, this one is on the lower side price wise. Cons: Motor longevity. The warranty is for 1 year, the motor died after 5. It's not the most expensive thing to replace, but it's not the greatest life cycle either. Looks a bit cheap. The black plastic lid contrasts a bit with the stainless steel body, so it doesn't look quite as elegant as some other cans with all steel aesthetics.

I love itouchless trash cans. I realized after my first purchase with this company, I brought the wrong shape for my needs. I found the oval shape which is different from the square shaped trash can I brought originally only in the sense that when I go to dump trash from my standing dusting pan, there is no issue in getting the dust pan to properly empty in the can without it dumping outside the trash receptacle. I also upgraded in size because it’ll make it easier to dump a lot of trash out in one sitting. The odor filter does its job and when it opens and closes, the noise level is very minimal. This trash canis taller than my previous trash can so my cats can’t really play with by opening the can by activating the motion sensor. It also doesn’t have a locking mechanism like my last can. I used some la awesome to clean the stainless steel can and it quickly got rid of stains. I find it to be solidly built. If there is one thing I say is a negative is that there are holes in the bottom of the trash can, assuming they are there to filter out liquid when the trash bags break and you need to clean out the inside. If the bag bust out then the liquid falls on the kitchen floor until I can transfer to tub to clean it properly. It functions very well but I had to ask for a replacement lid since its giving me a hard time in closing the lid. It was promptly replaced now all I have to do is it operated by electricity. Overall, this is well worth not gettin germs.

This was a big disappointment. Poor design, poor workmanship.... This trash can cost $98!!!! I expected a lot more than some cheesy tin can with science-project type parts. I am returning it - thankfully, Amazon's return process is not too painful. 1. The plastic rim that supposedly holds the plastic trash bag - doesn't fit right so it repeatedly falls into the can. That alone qualifies a full return. 2. The "odor filter" dangles off the inside back end of the lid, so it will get dirty real quick and fill up easily with cruddy trash. 3. The trash can says it's "touchless" but won't work unless you buy the required FOUR size "D" batteries or a power adapter to operate. D batteries don't last very long. And guess what - the power adapter isn't included! "Sold separately." So right off, you can't even use the thing. For $98?! They should have included the $15 power adapter. 4. It can't be opened manually with any ease at all. You have to have long fingernails to wedge it under the lid to lift it. For trash, the last thing I want to do it wedge my fingernail into anything. 5. The lid hinge is very flimsy and the lid is extremely lightweight. It doesn't go down all the way. I can see the hinge breaking after a few uses. It's also very thin so it won't be any protection for bad trashy odors. I can see why this is frequently returned. Poor design, subpar materials, extra costs, constant filter and power upkeep.... the only good thing is that it has wheels. But I'm not paying $98 for a tin can with wheels. I'll spend $30 and get a heavy-duty plastic trash bin.

It works great but finding bags (liners) the proper size because of the depth/height took a couple tries. Not all bags with the proper gallon size have the same dimensions.

I've had this trash can for nearly four years. It still works great! I love that I never have to worry about changing the batteries and that I have a hands free trash can while cooking. It does open sometime when I walk past it but that's just part of it's charm🤪 at least it's not wasting the battery life. I also enjoy that the trash bag is hidden. If I had one complaint I would say that it is difficult to keep it clean behind the lid opening.
