The Innocents

Very nice release by Erasure. They weren’t my favorite band back in the 80’s but I’m reintroducing myself to the New Wave sound I enjoyed growing up.with. This is very “Poppy” New Wave but I’m enjoying them a lot as I’ve obviously matured from the 1980’s. The singer has an amazing voice. Recommend this if you like that 80’s sound.

This pressing is alright. Nothing special about it. The music is great. This is one of their best albums but this pressing does not sound any better than the original pressing which I also have. In fact it’s not even at a higher volume like most remasters. They should have left the original company who remastered Wonderland do all of their reissues. That one was wonderful!

Purchase was well worth it, vinyl like new. Erasure’s best known single, and an excellent album following it on vinyl is one of the best purchases I’ve made.

Awesome classic album

If you like 80's music you will remember the songs on this album and bop along remembering the summers when these songs were on the radio. They have at least 3 or 4 classics on this album. Always a fun trip down memory lane.

There are a couple of songs on here that are so catchy, so infectious, and so happily upbeat, that I have to give this album at least four stars just for them. "A Little Respect" and "Chains of Love" are such absolute powerhouses of pop and drive that nothing else this often uneven album can dish out could possibly ruin my feelings for this. The songs that are good on this album are REALLY good--at least for what they are, cheesy 1980s synthpop--and even the songs that aren't so great are generally pretty memorable. That's not to say that some of these songs aren't so gay that the average heterosexual guy will hesitate to ever play them alone in the company of his male friends. (I know I would.) Lyrical sample of just such a song: "No, I will never step into your shoes, I'll dance in my chamber without you." Ergh. But whatever. The best songs on here are made for driving--"A Little Respect," "Chains of Love," "Phantom Bride," "Yahoo!" It's good stuff, loaded with memories if you heard it back when it was fresh, and still saturated with a driving rhythm that's aged respectably well. Dated as all hell, but still, just so much fun. Recommended.

Ainda bem que o CD estava em perfeito estado, porém a caixinha do CD estava completamente destruída, muito provavelmente pelo pacote muito apertado e sem proteção interna alguma. Tive que comprar uma nova caixa de acrílico para acondicionar o CD.

It’s a hard to find album and we really appreciate the way it was packaged for shipping. Because it arrived here without a scratch, which one you’re talking about vinyls is a good thing :)
