Great purchase
We just had it installed on brick. Works great. We love it. Like the way it pulls down

A real game changer
We had been wanting to eliminate the TV credenza taking up floor space in our family room, but were reluctant to mount the TV above the fireplace. The reason being that we have 9-ft ceilings and the mantle and hearth are higher than most. This would require mounting the TV at a height that would be awkward and uncomfortable to watch. Then I discovered the Mantle Mount and thought it presented great possibilities for solving our problem. It was, admittedly, a bit difficult to mount, as we have a brick hearth that extends all the way to the ceiling, meaning that I had to find and install anchors into the brick with sufficient strenght to support the load from the TV extended out from the surface, and the mount itself. Fortunately, I'm pretty capable at this sort of home construction activity, and was able to drill into the brick and install the right anchors. We've had it in place for at least a year or more, and have had zero problems with it. We love the fact that we can pull it down to watch TV at a comfortable height--even when the gas fireplace is turned on--and simply push it back up when we're done. I would highly recommend Mantle Mount, but make sure you have someone who is qualified to install it, or include the cost of hiring someone into your budget.

Very nice
Really awesome mount. Have a professional install it. Iโm handy and I had a professional install for my 85โ tv. Worth every penny and mantle mount pull down is smooth and works great. Donโt be too concerned with โis the wall mount party long enough to catch wood studsโ itโs 36โ so youโll be able to put 6 lag bolts on. Itโs an excellent product/mount

Too Lite For My 56" TV
I put this together all by myself, except putting the TV on the bracket. Very easy to mount, but with the adjustment all the way for the lightest setting the TV will slam right up into the wall with the slightest bump on the TV. To fix this I attached a bar that can be attached when the TV is down, and prevents the TV from moving at all. I did this because the TV slammed up into the wall with the slightest touch, and it wasn't pretty, because the TV was on at the time. Other than it not being able to be used out of the box with a lite TV, it's great above my china closest. It comes right down in front of it at eye level, and solves the problem of where to put the TV in the living room. They need to make a latch of some kind, and not depend on a weight adjustment to hold the TV in place.

Expensive but worth it!
This TV mount works great to hold my 77 inch OLED and Polk audio center channel speaker together. It's great to be able to pull it down over the fireplace. If your fireplace has a hearth and you're trying to mount the TV over it and don't want to crane your neck, these mantel mounts are a great solution.

Excellent Design & Quality. May need "creativity" for non-standard setups.
This is an excellent product! Well designed and though out, with very good documentation and unexpectedly good quality. That said, don't expect setup to be quick and easy. There is some inherent head-scratching that must be dealt with in any project of this type. Calculating exactly how high to place the wall mounting hardware depends on many issues and measurements. Take it slow and plan to get it right the first time. Use a calculator and double check! I had an extra-large sound bar, so I had to fashion custom parts from black metal plates. (I did order the SBXL component, but then decided to use a custom setup while waiting for the SBXL.) I also would up 3-D printing support block to further support the Sound Bar using the handles. A simple wood block would have worked, but maybe not quite as well (my 3-D printed version has lips on all sides to keep the block in place). My components are in a separate cabinet 8 feet from the mount (last pic that I uploaded, which for some reason is on its side). Routing the cables was reasonably straightforward, but I could imagine a cleaner setup that uses a cable wrap or some such. There are a few tools that you might not have that are pretty important - like an extender for a socket wrench (pretty much required unless you want to risk losing an arm). Oh, and when they say something is a "two person job" ... they mean it! You'll *need* a helper for a few minutes at one or two places in the project.

Versatile over mantle TV mount
This tv mount provides all the options I was looking for: tilt up/down, turning left/right and vertical positioning. The mount comes with 4 lag bolts to screw into studs which makes it very sturdy. I could not use all 4 lag bolts because I had a single stud in the middle of the wall. I could only use two lag bolts but that was an allowed configuration in the instructions. The mount can hold up to a 90โ, 115 lb TV and has hydraulic piston to maintain the position of the TV. I like the possibility of upgrading to a bigger, heavier TV without needing to get a new mount. I thought the installation was easy and the instructions were clear. Definitely read the instructions, take measurements and find your studs before you start drilling into studs. The arm is kinda heavy, but thatโs understandable since you need steel to hold +100 lb TV. Once we hung the TV on the arm, it was pretty easy to secure and adjust the hydraulic piston assistance. Yes, it cost more than $400, but I would rather spend the money on a quality mount than find my TV broken on the floor and my wall messed up because I was too cheap.

Fitment Guide MisleadingโTV Doesnโt Sit Securely
I relied on the online fitment guide, but after installation there is about 1/4 inch of side-to-side play when adjusting the TV. This doesnโt feel secure and raises concerns about the mountโs ability to safely hold the TV. Based on my experience, the fitment guidance may not be accurate, so I would not recommend this product without verifying compatibility very carefully.

RECOMENDABLE
MUY RECOMENDABLE SI TIENES LA TV ENCIMA DE LA CHIMENEA Y QUIERES BAJAR SU ALTURA. HEMOS RECIBIDO EL PRODUCTO EN TIEMPO Y EL MONTAJE HA SIDO SENCILLO Y HA QUEDADO PERFECTO. SE VE MUY SรLIDO Y LAS PRUEBAS ESTAN SIENDO GENIALES, EN ESTABILIDAD Y FACILIDAD. ESPERAMOS QUE CON EL TIEMPO SE MANTENGAN LOS MUELLES EN BUEN ESTADO Y SIGAMOS TENIENDO ESTA BUENA VALORACIรN.

Decent
Works good, feels a little wobbly when moving the tv, itโs definitely sturdy but they could have used thicker mounting brackets that attach to the TV. Other than that Iโm happy with it. Only thing you have to watch for is how far out your mantle comes, mine is 16 inches so we had to mount the TV almost to the ceiling so the arm could extend all the way down. We just keep it down all the way. 75โ 85lb TV mounted

So many problems it's hard to make a list of them all...
I'm looking at a mount that right now is having my TV hit the ceiling. Follow the instructions at your peril. I meticulously followed the instructions and each measurement, drilled massive holes in my wall and after 5 hours of construction the TV hit the ceiling which it should have been 1.75" away from it. I was able to lower the TV by an inch while it was up by shifting the brackets on the back of the TV, not "officially supported but the only way to do it without redrilling holes as they offer now actual vertical adjustment option, and it still hit the ceiling. So 2.75" off, no vertical adjustment provided other than start again from square one. Brutal design. Several errors and inconsistencies in the instructions do not help. For example, 2.1 says" measure...to the bottom of the TV/sound bar". The image on the left has the measurement going to the bottom of the TV (but not the handle which also has to clear the mantel) whereas the image on the right has it going way below the handle. 2.2 and 2.4 say to use the "lower wall plate holes" however both images clearly show to the bottom of the bracket and not the holes. A $75 Ikea shelf has better instructions than this. I'll decide tomorrow whether to package the hole thing up and return it (painful) or go through the hassle of removing it and then guessing how much lower it needs to go (also painful).
