This belt is perfect 👌🏼 Easy to use, fast, and totally secure. Expensive? Yes, but all good things in photography are! Totally worth it for the quality and design. Only small note: it’s a bit big for women, even when adjusted. I’d love a slightly more ergonomic fit for our hip curves 😉 Women are photographers too!!

Maybe one of the best investments I’ve made since starting wedding photography in 2009. I had been using a dual camera strap harness for about 8 years until my back finally gave out in 2022. After that, I switched to shooting with just one camera, until I saw a photographer friend using this setup. Since buying the Spider Holster, it has completely changed the game for me. All the weight is on your hips, not your shoulders, which means zero back pain even after a full day of shooting. It’s comfortable, secure, and allows me to carry two cameras effortlessly. If you shoot weddings or events and want to save your back, this is worth every penny.

After I saw someone using a hip belt, I gave up on a chest-based carrier, and was able to up my bird photography with longer lenses (telephoto and now a 600mm prime). With the Spider Holster, I have been able to take my gear even on 1 or 2 week long birding trips, comfortably! With the weight above my hips, it becomes just part of my clothing. When I’m on level ground, I keep the safety off and can draw it quickly up for a shot. On uneven ground, I may put the safety on so it won’t chance bouncing out of the holster. If I’m riding in an open vehicle over bumpy roads, I will set the camera on my lap. I am noticing a little bit of wear on my older belt’s fibers, but the latches all still work fine. I would advise getting in the routine of checking the mount on the camera’s base before each outing, as it can loosen over time and risks slipping.

Habe es bisher nur in zwei Situationen eingesetzt 1. Outdoorshooting. Hier hat es sehr geholfen. Ich musste viel hin und her rennen und teilweise anderes Equipment tragen, da war es bequem, die Kamera schnell und sicher einzuhängen und beide Hände frei zu haben. 2. Radtour entlang einer sehr pittoresken Strecke. Hier war es mir zu mühsam immer anzuhalten, die Kamera rauszuholen, ein paar Bilder zu machen, Kamera wieder zu verstauen ... statt dessen, einfach eingehängt und nach ein paar 100m wieder einfach zur Hand gehabt. Ich kann es empfehlen.

Probably a good product if you know how to use it but I didn’t so it wasn’t good for me. In addition, pretty expensive!!
