Can i put the £20 unlimited data on this sim into mobile broadband or is this sim only payg?

Only 4G. I have 2 of these which I can manage as a group using a dedicated app. You can stop/start a plan by disabling/enabling auto-renewal and change your plan within the app. Multiple SIMs will attract a discount. I use them in mobile routers, but I do not see why you couldn’t use them in a ‘phone.

Can i just use wifi without a plan eg Whatsapp?

correct me if I'm wrong, but surely you need either a sim card or wifi for whats app, but the answer given to this question was that you do not. Hmmmm

Do you have to top up every month

Its a pay monthly card, not pay as you go. You don't top it up, you pay a fixed fee every month. But if you dont want it any more you can stop it at the end of the month as there's no contract
