This Vacuum Really Sucks!
We had a 20-yearold Eureka bagless that broke, and this was the nearest we found. Glad we did! It's a little larger than the broken one, but a bit less large, heavy and cumbersome than our old Hoover upright. And a lot lighter in weight! This one (somehow) came with the extra pet-hair mini roller brush, but I had to go look up the Bissell version on line to find out how to take it apart for cleaning the mini roller. Works the same, and the device is REALLY useful for getting into small places. We have a long-hair cat. With 8 amps, this thing really pulls up dirt! Seriously pulls up dirt! I set it to the low "Carpet" level, for an old shag carpet in the trailer house. I'm living here, but the owner's been here for a long time. I've been cleaning with that old Eureka, and it's (I thought) been pretty clean. I was getting a lot of fuzz, cat hair, and some fine dirt, but all in all, okay. Then I used this guy! Holy Cow!! The first pass after setting it up, there was almost an entire "bucket" container of something greyish-brown. Plus a lot of fuzz and a lot of cat hair. I asked the owner, who told me that many years ago, she'd had a flea problem and sprinkled diatomaceous earth all over. Fixed the fleas, but she never cleaned the carpets. Suddenly, I'm using this new Eureka and it's pulling EVERYthing out of the carpet! After only two times using it (back in April; it's now September), almost all that "dust" was gone. Now, I'm getting general dirt, cat hair, dust and carpet fuzz. Normal. 1. After the first-time use, with the massive amount of "newly discovered" dirt, the roller bar was almost entirely clear! No wrapped hair or anything gunked up in the brush bristles. Amazing! 2. Disassembling for cleaning, I found that the main vacuum body was almost entirely clean! No outer dust anywhere on the plastic. The only dust was at the connection hole between the body and the container bucket -- easy to clean with a swipe of a sponge or rag. 3. Cleaning the container and filter was pretty simple, but a little bit of time involved. Cleaning: A push-button on the top handle releases the catch bin as a complete unit unto itself. There's another button near the bottom of that basin, which then releases a gravity-operated "lid." BE SURE TO KEEP THE BOTTOM OF THE BUCKET WELL BELOW THE UPPER EDGE OF YOUR TRASH CONTAINER! By pushing the release button to open the bottom of the bucket, you're simply dropping out ALL the crud you've picked up in the catch basin! It comes flying out, dust-cloud and all! Still, there's some remaining junk clinging to the clear plastic bucket walls. I like "BANG!" cleaner spray, which is cheap (Dollar Tree), and works very well. I also have a spray attachment on the kitchen sink, which makes it very easy to get water inside the bucket "tube." There's a plastic "clasp" or catch you pull on, to open the top of the overall basin. I'd imagine that catch will eventually break, but who knows.....none of the plastic on the 20-yearold ever broke. With the bottom open and the top hinged back, you can clean the entire catch basin. It's large enough (easily) that you can get your hand in there with a sponge. The BANG! makes it easier, and water rinses it all out. The entire filter section comes apart, which is why I bought this. You lift out the filter assembly (the instruction manual shows how), and there are several parts. The filter itself is foam with some sort of paper on top. It's there to prevent dust from blowing into the motor, and both the bottom (foam) and top (paper) got totally covered with dust. Being gentle with it, I was easily able to clean it under running water. I couldn't find these round filters anywhere in stores, so ordered a 6-pack of replacements on Amazon. Not all that expensive. I've used and cleaned this vacuum now probably 8 times (since April, it's now September), and the filter is still pretty together. I can see it's going to degrade, but if it lasts four months (or more), then I only need to replace it three times a year. Very cost effective. And this place has all the old micro dust along with the cat hair, so the filter has to get cleaned after each use. For "normal people" and their homes, I think you could use the cleaner several times without cleaning every single time. The attachments are all there, easily stored on the body of the machine. The hose attaches to the roller base during upright use, and comes loose to attach to the handle for portable use. DO follow the instruction manual! The places for the attachments, and how to connect the different hose operations aren't immediately obvious. Some people complain that the roller bar always turns. The old Eureka had a 2-way switch for upright (with roller bar), and portable (for smooth floors and portable use). This power switch only is On/Off. I don't care. You can raise the level of the roller for "wood floors," if it really makes you anxious. All in all, having sold vacuum cleaners in the past, I'd have to say this is one of the most powerful machines I've ever seen for its size, weight, and price! Yes, it's all plastic, to keep the weight around 8-10lbs or so, but today's plastics are pretty rugged. I'm thinking it'll last long enough to be a good investment.

Best vacuum I've owned
This is hands-down the best vacuum I’ve ever owned. I bought it after watching Project Farm’s thorough testing, and it has not disappointed. It’s surprisingly lightweight, making it easy to carry up and down stairs and maneuver around the house without fatigue. The suction power is excellent — it pulls up dirt, pet hair, and debris with no problem. It performs beautifully on both carpet and hardwood floors, transitioning smoothly between surfaces without losing performance.I’m extremely impressed with how well it cleans. Highly recommend! If you’re looking for a powerful, lightweight vacuum that delivers real results, this one is worth every penny.

The Vacuum That Sucks (In a Good Way)
The Eureka PowerSpeed Vacuum doesn’t just clean my floors—it cleans my soul. This thing is an absolute beast in vacuum form. It’s so powerful, I’m half expecting it to start vacuuming things I didn’t even ask it to, like my taxes or existential dread. Suction Power: Let’s start with the obvious: this vacuum sucks. And I mean that as the highest compliment. It’s like a black hole on wheels. The first time I turned it on, I felt a breeze as it sucked up dust from across the room like it had a personal vendetta against dirt. Pet hair? Gone. Crumbs? Obliterated. Socks I didn’t know I dropped? Oops… well, now they’re in the vacuum. It’s so powerful, I had to hold on for dear life, lest I, too, be sucked into its vortex of cleanliness. Weight: Despite its power, this vacuum is as lightweight as a feather—okay, maybe a slightly heavy feather, but still. It’s shockingly easy to push around. I found myself doing a little vacuum dance across the carpet, practically pirouetting from room to room. Who knew vacuuming could make me feel this graceful? Take that, dust bunnies! My moves are unstoppable now. Pet Turbo: The pet turbo feature is like the vacuum’s secret weapon. It’s specifically designed to go to war with pet hair, and trust me, it’s winning every battle. I have a dog who sheds like she’s trying to create a new carpet on top of my existing carpet. The pet turbo attachment just rolled up like, “I got this,” and within seconds, my floors were cleaner than they’ve been since 1997. It’s like hiring a professional pet hair assassin. Versatility: This vacuum can handle everything—carpets, hard floors, rugs, you name it. It doesn’t discriminate. My carpets look fluffier, my hardwood floors are shining, and I swear my vacuum even found dirt under the floorboards. Honestly, I’m starting to wonder if it’s magic. It’s as if Mary Poppins became a vacuum cleaner and is now just tidying up my house with cheerful abandon. Drawbacks: There’s only one downside I’ve found—once you experience this kind of suction power, there’s no going back. I vacuumed my entire house in one day, and now I’m vacuuming just for the thrill of it. I’ve vacuumed the same spot three times today, simply because it’s so satisfying. I think I might have a problem, but it’s the cleanest problem I’ve ever had. Final Thoughts: The Eureka PowerSpeed Vacuum is the hero my floors deserve. It’s lightweight, it’s powerful, and it tackles pet hair like a boss. If you’re looking for a vacuum that sucks in the best way possible, this is it. Just be prepared—you might become too obsessed with clean floors. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have some more vacuuming to do (even though I vacuumed 20 minutes ago).

Unexpectedly nice, great for price.
I have used bagged vacuums my entire life, so I was very hesitant to buy a canister vac. But--hard to argue with the price, and I needed a vacuum with a hose that would work well on hard floor. This is great on all counts. Pros: --Great suction (like many other reviewers, I tried it on a freshly vacuumed floor and it pulled up soooo much dog hair and dust). --Works well on hard floors. --Has all the attachments you might typically need. --I haven't noticed my hair collecting around the brush *yet*. I have long hair and shed like a dog, and it typically wraps around vacuum brush rolls in a way that is VERY hard to remove. It has been about a month and there's minimal hair buildup on the roll. Cons: --The pet attachment is useless. Entirely, completely useless, since the roll is powered by suction. Don't buy this for the pet attachment. --The attachments don't fit super tightly, which is annoying when you're applying pressure. I like to vacuum that little crack between carpet and baseboards and the skinny attachment has to be held on to the hose. --The hose is SHORT. A little longer if you use the handle extension, but still very short. You need to have the vacuum right next to whatever you're trying to reach with the hose and attachments, and your range is only 12-18 inches if you're applying pressure, 2 ft if you aren't applying much pressure (like using the dust attachment on baseboards). --Personal pet peeve...I have long hair, and wisps get sucked into where the hose meets the vacuum when I'm using the hose, because stretching it leaves crevices. It even catches loose pieces from a braid. Very annoying, but probably won't affect most people.

It's a low budget vacuum that mostly gets the job done
I bought a different vacuum brand that started to lose suction within a year. It was my second one that didn't live up to expectations after years and years of loving that brand. I needed a vacuum in a hurry and started looking up "best vacuums." I was very surprised to see this model in several reviews, despite it's price range, so I gave it a try. The suction is good. It has useful attachments. For the money, it's worth it. But it is NOT on the same level as mid-grade vacuums. It's big, awkward, very loud, and doesn't smell great. It does the job, but I don't see this enduring heavy use for long. I've had it for about a month and I'm already doing research into finding a better one. But this will get us through until I find one I really like and gives me time to allocate money towards it so it's not an emergency purchase. 3 stars due to volume, smell, and finicky belt that can't handle the occasional lego.

Worth the Hype!
My last vacuum (Shark) went out after 2 years and I was in desperate need of a quick decision for a new one. After reading the reviews carefully and considering the low price point, I went ahead and ordered hoping to be as impressed as other reviewers. I definitely am! I will say that the pet attachment quit working after the first use, though I honestly expected that as I had the same issue with a similarly designed attachment that came with a previous vacuum. The level of performance though far outweighs this issue and still works wonderful even with all the hair my dogs like to leave around for me, to the point that I won’t even knock a start for it. The profile is larger than my previous one and a much lighter weight which I actually appreciate! So easy to bring around with my and carry up stairs, etc. The whole design is incredibly user friendly, with all the same features as my previous, higher-priced Shark but way more accessible and far better performance! It’s so easy to switch between normal upright use and the hose feature, and is the quickest and simplest to empty of all the vacuums I’ve owned prior. The suction is incredibly powerful and my carpet honestly seems cleaner than they’ve been since they were new. I was amazed at how much dirt and hair this picks up after even just one pass and love that there are multiple tools to use with edges and furniture. The edge feature is especially impressive as it is slim enough to fit in all my little creases and corners, and the suction stays powerful enough to pull up all the bits that would usually have gotten left behind in the nooks and crannies. Definitely recommend!!

Regular maintenance
I bought the Eureka 181d back in 2020 and it lasted 6 years before a bearing in the motor went out, but I liked the vacuum so I bought it again. However, after 6 years I know the bad with the good. The Eureka Power Speed is an upright bagless vacuum with height adjustment (for carpets). For its price it has a strong motor, which gives it good suction and the ability to pick up lots of dirt and pet fur. However, because this vacuum is "bagless," that means all the debris goes through lots of tubing before finally deposited into the "cup," a plastic cannister where it's stored before emptying. Yes, there's a filter, but it doesn't really protect the moving parts of the vacuum. The manufacturer recommends cleaning every 2 weeks. In my opinion, this is asking for trouble. Clean the vacuum after every use. That means empty the cannister and clean the filter. Clean the hair out of the roller using a small scissors (I also find a comb very useful). It's also helpful to remove the roller and clean any dirt out of the flexible tubing (check the tubing for clogs - run a hanger through the tubing if necessary - there's a YouTube video that shows how). Also clean the surface where the rubber drive belt comes in contact with the roller. Always note the condition of the drive belt because over time it will stretch and freewheel on the roller, damaging both the belt and the roller surface (replace long before they wear out. Amazon has replacement filters, belts and rollers). Also, clean the small grill area in front of the motor (the grill is just above the height adjustment knob). Regular maintenance will ensure the vacuum lasts for years. If not, you'll find out the meaning of disposable vacuum.

You get what you pay for
If you are buying this for it's attachments, Give it a PASS. For simple running the vacuum across the main carpets, it works great, all fine, although heavy and poor maneuverability. I have 9 months of frustrating experience with this vacuum cleaner due to the non functionable attachments. The pet hair roller remover, just as other reviews mention broke after 6 uses. Next, the brush attachment lasted longer, by 6 months it stopped picking up minimal dog hair shedding from my couch, it more or less moved it around but did not suction it properly. Same dwindling of success with the final small attachment for small spaces. I must say tugging the heavy cleaner around when using the hose/attachments is just painful, the hose and the attachments detach constantly, the heavy vacuum falls down... I purchased this when I was trying to save money due to some high travel expenses incurred however not even a year use and I am looking at buying something of higher quality. Please note: If you are not needing to use the attachments, this vacuum works absolutely great otherwise.

Potente aspiradora
Habia tenido una aspiradora de la misma marca pero un poco mas pequeña y liviana. esta es mas pesada pero vale la pena por la potencia y eficacia al limpiar. Muy recomendable,

Amazing vacuum compared to pricier brands
Great value vacuum, ProjectFarm recommended this and I can see why, way better price to performance ratio compared to big name brand vacuums. Attachments work great, cleans great, everything great honestly. And 2 day prime!
