Clear examples and well organized by soil condition, this is by far one of my favorite textbooks. I would recommend this as a supplemental text to anyone taking Geotech, if it's not the required book.

This book is truly awesome...if you are enrolled in an Engineering course with an instructor to explain the equations. I was imagining more general, basic information with nice pictures and not pages of math. My bad...had to send it back although it was a great book in the right hands, the right place and with the right teacher. My nephew, although interested in this field is too young to make sense of this book by himself...or else, I'm too old. Bit of both?
