Would this work for a 50+ female looking for post workout (weightlifting with trainer) recovery aid?

Citrulline has been used as a pre and post workout supplement. It has been shown to reduce lactic buildup. Be careful if you have kidney disease, as citrulline can be harmful in such situations.

Why is this so cheap compared to other brands?

I don’t know what brands you are comparing. I have been very pleased with the Nutricost products and they are my first choice. The L-Glutamine powder seems to be working well for me I can a difference when I stop taking it. I hope this helps.

it clearly says atleast now that it is globally sourced but tested n packed in USA
