Yes, the fifth string is a C, so it covers the pitches CGDAE. The scale length, however, is that of a violin rather than a viola, so it will feel familiar to play if you're a violinist.

Is the bridge curvature compromised compared to a 4 string one? My Ns Design 5 string violin & cello are a bit flatter than should be in a 4 string.

I'm not a violin maker or repair person so I can't really say. I do notice my strings being shifted slightly to accommodate the low C string.

Which bow and shoulder rest go well with this violin?

Hi there, we usually recommend various acoustic guitar amps for electric violin based on how much power you need - i.e., for practice versus performance in a louder setting, etc. In general, we've found that the Fishman Loudbox Mini and Loudbox Artist sound very good with electric violins, and provide a warm tone in a compact package.
