The book that started the phenomenon! Pillow Thoughts is Courtney Peppernell’s beautiful, deeply resonant collection of poetry and prose about heartbreak, love, and raw emotions. Divided into sections for when you are dreaming of someone, heartbroken, lonely, or in need of encouragement, Pillow Thoughts has been embraced by readers as a sanctuary for their feelings. With simple yet profound words, Courtney Peppernell offers gentle reminders that love, loss, and resilience connect us all. The perfect gift for all experiencing life transitions, as a source of solace after heartbreak, or as a reminder of hope during difficult times. Review: Fantastic! - *I received a copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review* Simply put, I found this collection to be absolutely beautiful. Each poem was thoughtful and moving and an absolute joy to read. It touched my life at a time when I needed it most, so I could not help falling in love with Pillow Thoughts. Peppernell’s writing flows perfectly, and her poetry paints a stunning picture of life’s ups and downs. She eloquently coveys every poem—breathes life into them—and gives them a great amount of depth. These poems are the sort that readers can truly connect with, and each person’s interpretation will be different. They reach into every corner of our hearts and remind us that it is okay for us to feel—gives us a raw and vivid portrayal of what it is to be human. This is a collection that I believe most people will be able to connect with and find meaning in. Every piece is straightforward yet incredibly profound—very accessible for anyone, no matter who they are or where they are in life. I found comfort in these words as they told me that I am not alone, even when I’m feeling lonely in the midst of my troubles. These poems transcend their own simplicity to create a meaningful depiction of the most basic and universal experiences we face in our lives. The reader will find their own unique meaning depending on their personal lives, and take away what their soul is craving at that moment. I look forward to reading more of Peppernell’s work in the future. Review: Great read! - Great book

An interesting book of poetry you may want to check out.
For most of my adult life I have grown to love reading all kinds of poetry. At times I have enjoyed reading all of Shakespeare’s literature as well as great ancient and contemporary poets. While recently browsing the poetry books section on Amazon I came across this fantastic 272-page soft cover volume (Pillow Thoughts by Courtney Peppernell) of poetry and decided to purchase it. Right from the first pages I liked the way the author organized this thought-provoking collection of poems. Indeed, her thoughts flowed like a gentle stream on a fall day. She broke down her collection of poetry into the following topic areas: “If you are dreaming of someone, if you are in love, if you are heartbroken, if you are lonely, if you are sad, if you are missing someone, if you need encouragement, and other areas. I found this to be a thoughtful and heart felt poetry book many people would enjoy reading. Rating: 5 Stars. Joseph J. Truncale (Season of the warrior: A poetic tribute to warriors).

"If you are in love, and the love is returned, be grateful."
Oftentimes, poetry doesn't coincide with the truth of things, but this poetry distinguishes itself by doing so, particularly with respect to love and the human condition, from the idealism of newfound love to the despondency of love forlorn and foregone. Incisive, pithy statements; e.g., "Sorry I'm off-balanced...just never been the same since being perfectly aligned with you." (not exact quote!) Psychoanalysts might readily identify the "personality type" at work in these poems: Incredible love for, and loyalty to, broken people whose reciprocity is often absent; this type loves the "monsters"; i.e., the dictators, psychopaths, and quintessential narcissists, because "They, too, deserve to be loved." Too bad, so sad, I say: There are non-monsters in this world who would appreciate such disproportionate love and loyalty...Oh well, Oh well! Many of these poems are wise. They cover love's lifecyle, from birth to death. She also has some incredible insights into growing up, getting wisdom, and achieving the maturity that wisdom produces. Well worth the read. Thank you, Mrs. Peppernell!

Good but a lil corny for a starter
It's good, has quite a few good poems and rhymes in it that I haven't heard of before. However, it does have a few corny ones that you probably heard of just said differently without over complicating words. I hear it gets better with the later books. I'll get the second one once I fully finish this one, otherwise it's a decent starter for this kind of various poems.

This is poetry to speak to your soul
This collection of poetry and prose showcases some of the rawest and beautiful writing that I have had the pleasure of reading in a long time. Courtney's writing is deceptively straightforward but speaks with a voice that is both honest and delves directly into your soul. Even short poems like 'what makes me smile' are touching with every word and made me smile long after I finished reading them. The poetry in this book is both extremely heartfelt and captures human emotion in its truest form. The ability to articulate emotions that are relatable to all the readers is the biggest strength of the collection; and it is hard not to be moved by poems which move seamlessly from expressing hurt, heartbreak but ultimately also the optimism of love, healing and self worth. This collection has already had me re-reading a number of times, and each time, poems speak to my soul in a different way. A beautiful read for anyone with an appreciation for poetry or short prose, highly recommended.

Lindo / Beautiful
Maravilhoso e sensível. Um dos melhores livros de poesia que eu já li. Além de tudo a divisão de capítulos é genial. A ideia de escolher o que ler baseado no que você está sentindo ou precisando ouvir é algo muito delicado. Wonderful! An extremely sensitive and truthful writing. One of the best poetry books I've ever read. Besides, the chapter divisions are great. The idea of choosing what to read based on what you are feeling or needing to hear is very delicate.
