U.S. Solid 3/4 in GHT RV Water Pressure Regulator, Screwdriver-Adjustable Lead-Free Brass Valve with 0-160 psi Gauge and Inlet Filter, for RV Camper Trailer and Garden Hose

We've been using this pressure regulator during our last few camping trips, as I'd accidentally left a similar unit behind while hurriedly breaking down and preparing to return home from a trip. This regulator works great, and while easy to adjust if needed, didn't requite any "tweaking" upon receipt. This type of regulator doesn't noticeably affect the water pressure unlike the cheap in-line type which are provided with many RVs, and can be adjusted based on personal preference and/or site conditions. Most campground water systems provide safe pressures, but given the characteristics of most RV's water lines, fittings, and fixtures, these regulators are very cost-effective insurance.

Update: The gauge on mine quit just a bit short of 4 years. That being said, I'm not here to revise my rating, because I feel like that was a reasonable service life, especially considering that the gauges weren't glycerin-filled when I bought mine. I think the remainder of the regulator is fine, so I just ordered a replacement gauge for about 11 bucks, and I think that will solve the problem so I don't have to replace the entire unit. So, that's something to consider if you have the same problem. I really like this regulator. I'm a new RV'er and everything I read said this is a must-have accessory. The quality of machining and construction on this is very nice, and it's solid and heavy. I doubt that I'll be adjusting it much, but the reason I like having an adjustable model over the regular in-line type regulator is that it has a gauge, and I can see what the pressure actually is. Tip: Keep the package it comes in! It's delivered in a cardboard box that has a fitted foam insert that holds the regulator protected from impact. It's perfect for keeping it safe from damage between uses.

After almost two months of having it installed, I'm very much happy of how many less gallons consumption my bill reflects. 450 GALLON LESS ! I left the original set at 40 to see how well it was, and it turned great. The downside, you'll need to adjust to less water flow, it takes time, but it's worth it.

UPDATE: The site indicates that the valve has a 1-year warranty, but I didn't want to go through the hassle. However, the seller reached out to me as a result of my review below, and offered a full refund. I upgraded my rating because of the great seller response. ORIGINAL POST: I needed an adjustable water pressure valve and based on other recommendations, purchased this one. I used it for about 3 weeks, then put it up for about 9 months. When I tried using it, the gauge would no longer read the pressure. I vented the gage, but it still won't read pressure. There does not appear to be any debris in the valve body or where the gauge connects.

Love it. Most R.V. pressure regulators are pre-set between 40 and 45 psi. The cheap ones are non-adjustable. Try taking a shower with 40 psi. I guess you do save water, maybe... I hooked this new regulator to a faucet at our R.V. site that had a static pressure of 80 psi. The regulator was pre-set at 40 psi. I simply turned up the pressure to 58 psi and I have great water flow in the R.V. and the shower is like at home. From what I've read, new R.V.s are pressure tested to 100 psi at the factory. Many R.V.ers are running their water systems at 60 to 65 psi with no problems. I've been using the new regulator for two weeks. No leaks detected.

Used probably less than a dozen times. Just went on a trip and was having issues with water flow through it. I found that the pressure gauge, even with no water attached, was showing 40 some pounds of pressure. Based on the other reviews I’m seeing it is likely toast. I’m always careful to drain any residual water out it after use and package it back in the original container for safe keeping.

The Dramm SyphonX needs a pressure regulator to bring the psi down below 50. Check the photos for the correct hook-up. It proceeds as: Supply hose connected to the Pressure Regulator (factory set at about 41 psi), then the SyphonX, then the discharge hose connected to the Dramm wand. Any pressure above 50 psi will blow the clear plastic check-valve to kingdom come. The small nozzle head that ships with the SyphonX will jam oxygen and nutes into the soil if the head is pushed into the media. This system works. The pressure regulator is superior and made for this job. Note: The regulator can also be fastened directly to the hose bib, then the SyphonX, then connecting a discharge hose to the Dramm wand. I hve mine set-up this way now.

Perfect!!! Placed in garden outside of home which is connected to street water pressure. So far has greatly aided and prevented over pressurized PVC. Lived with bursting out door PVC pipes for years. Finally complained in frustration to my husband... And he lowered to indoor house pressure with this item. Thank you sweet husband! And thank you Amazon...
