Tiny, Powerful, and Perfect for IoT Projects!
The Seeed Studio XIAO ESP32C3 is an absolute powerhouse in a tiny package. I’ve been using it for several IoT prototypes, and it has exceeded my expectations in every way. The built‑in Wi‑Fi + BLE, battery charging circuit, and low‑power performance make it ideal for portable or always‑on projects. Despite its small size, it offers a rich interface — multiple GPIOs, I²C, SPI, UART — giving plenty of flexibility for sensors, actuators, and tiny machine‑learning applications. It programs easily, runs stable, and integrates smoothly with Arduino and PlatformIO. The best part is how efficient it is. It stays cool, uses very little power, and the onboard battery charging makes it perfect for wearables or remote monitoring devices. For anyone building smart home devices, automation tools, or ML‑on‑microcontroller projects, this board is a fantastic choice. Highly recommended — 5 stars!

Small Size, Big Results
Well, strap on your boots and listen up, 'cause I gotta share my excitement about the Seeed Studio XIAO ESP32C3. This little gizmo ain't just a dime a dozen – it's a real lifesaver, especially for a busy parent like me. Here's why it's gettin' five stars: Now, why am I so excited about this gizmo, you ask? Well, I'll tell ya – I'm usin' it for a door alarm to keep an eye on my rambunctious 4-year-old son. He's a handful, that one, always tryin' to sneak out and explore the great outdoors. But with this XIAO thingamajig, I'll know the moment he even thinks 'bout openin' them doors. It's peace of mind wrapped up in a tiny package.! Small but Mighty: Don't let its size fool ya, this thing's a powerhouse. With Wi-Fi and BLE packed in tighter than a can of sardines, it's ready to tackle any job. Efficient as a Well-Oiled Machine: When it comes to power, this board's as thrifty as a farmer at the market. It barely sips electricity, like it's takin' a leisurely sip of sweet tea on a lazy summer afternoon. Keeps my door alarm runnin' smooth and steady without guzzlin' down the juice. More Connections Than a Family Reunion: Despite bein' pint-sized, this XIAO fella's got more ports than my granddaddy's fishing boat. Perfect for hookin' up all them sensors and gadgets to keep my little ones safe. Charge Like a Tesla at a Supercharger: Picture this – it charges up faster than a Tesla at a supercharger station! Just plug 'er in and she's ready to roll quicker than a herd of cattle stampedin' down the range. Smart as a Whip: And here's the kicker – it's got tiny machine learnin'! That's right, it's like havin' a little brain in my door alarm. Keeps me in the loop faster than a telegraph wire. Yessir, if you're fixin' to wrangle up some IoT contraptions, this Seeed Studio XIAO ESP32C3 is the real deal. Whether you're a city slicker or a country bumpkin, it'll get the job done and then some. So, grab yourself one of these babies and get to tinkerin' – you won't regret it!

One of the best esp32s out there for smaller projects!
One of the best microcontrollers imo, works so well and has through charging a 3.7v lipo battery pads on the bottom. This is my 2nd favorite microcontroller seeed makes. My all time fav is Xiao-mg24. It has everything this controller has but also has a microphone and accelerometer built on!

Great little board, just one quirk.
The microcontroller works great and comes with the antenna! The only thing I had trouble with was Pin D9 would only work as an output for me. I read pin D9 is linked to the boot button. Maybe there is a way to configure that, but I haven't figured it out. I am using mine for a Bluetooth keypad, and I do have enough GPIO, but I had to resolder to another one and change the code for my project to work.

they are really small and battery life is outstanding. i would certainly rebuy these.
These were something of a chore to flash, but once you figure it out, they function great. they are really small and battery life is outstanding. i would certainly rebuy these.

Fantastic *little* esp32
Used this with a small GPS and OLED display to build myself a device for tracking my runs. Works like a champ. Used them in a couple other project as well; connected to a ultrasonic transponder to measure distance to the top of the water in a water tank, run WLED on three of these, blew up a couple by futzing up the wiring (they don't like 36VDC), but that is 100% my fault, intend to connect one to the Blue's Starnote to complete the a build for a tracking device that uses satellites, cell data, and wifi.

Amazing little device
I was dubious. But I use these little guys everywhere. Nice, low power consumption, very versatile. Easy to set up with the Arduino IDE (or similar environments), well-documented, and have had zero trouble with any of the I/O on the XIAO, despite my inadvertent, accidental attempts to put their tolerances to the test. These boards are one of my most frequently used project boards, and they find their way into the majority of my prototyping builds.

Pricier than other options but you save so much debug time!
Very quickly becoming my favorite MCU, it can definitely be more powerful than needed, but after spending days googling and debugging cheaper and less powerful chips in the hopes of keeping dev costs down, i'd rather have a sturdy v6 under the hood than deal with an undocumented, poor designed 4 cylinder. Has less pins than your esp32 dev or wroom modules but if you need multiple serials and don't want to play the software serial bit bashing game, this thumb sized chip will do it without issue, i've yet to get that with the wroom even though it boasts supposedly 3 uarts.. Cheaper dual core, 4mb 160mhz can be had for between 4 and 7 bucks a piece, but with at least double the footprint, without onboard lithium charge host, 5v regulator that can handle solar input and so far really good support. you can even go cheaper with a single core for about 2 bucks each.. but the HOURS and HOURS googling issues or error messages because the seller has the entire support site in chinese, outdated pin out diagrams, narrow community support will each that savings up. seeed studio has a nice chat tool that quickly googlefu's for you results for error messages that might appear and quite a few peripheral providers (oleds, sensors) have xiao esp32 specific libraries available. definitely would grab several if they go on sale
