I do not know if this kind of filter works, but it fits perfectly on the old fashion range hood in my kitchen and the price is reasonable.

Very flimsy, perhaps a quarter the weight of the OEM filter. Seems to be made of charcoal-impregnated foam, rather than a container of charcoal granules (as was the original).
