Ferara Torrone Candy, 40-Count (71403-00024)

This is such a delicious candy. It's a nice change from the usual chocolate confections, which are very good, but this is a special treat.

the most delicious torrone you have ever tasted! I love the fact that this confection comes with torrone in three flavors: vanilla, lemon and orange. my favorite is the orange flavor believe it or not. I find the orange flavor to leave a nice, fresh taste to the palate. if you are a traditionalist, then i recommend the vanilla flavor. believe me it does not disappoint. also, these come individually wrapped (making them sanitary especially to little hands who can't wait for torrone each year) and in bite size portions making it a great "gift" for your holiday party/dinner guests to take home with them and not to mention that they are quite economical or "purse-friendly" for the host. I find that each portion leaves you quite satisfied and does not make you feel guilty indulging in italian gourmet goodness at all. in fact, I find the taste to be quite light and not heavy at all. just remember that the piece of torrone is meant to be eaten as is. all of it is edible. my recommendation is to purchase the multi-pack and enjoy!!!

Found something I enjoyed many years ago.

The candy is (as always) excellent; however the box was crushed in transit. It doesn't matter, as the torrone is for me; but if I had been purchasing this for a gift, I would be unhappy.

I have bought this Ferrara Torrone Candy, 40-Count several times because this is my favorite. I like that it is portioned, individually wrapped & delicious. The problem with the last box I received was all crushed & the product pieces were squished & misshaped. It was shipped in an envelope instead of a box. I did not return it because it was for me but if I had gifted it to someone, I would not be happy with the purchase. I cannot put out for guests because it doesn't look great as some of the pieces are flattened on one end & some don't look good. If you make a quality product, make sure that the end product arrives to us consumers in a presentable manner.

We grew up with another brand and I decided to take the plunge with Ferrara and try it. Upon opening the top (which is a lift up flap) the blue colored boxes were all lined up. There are vanilla, orange and lemon flavors. I tried the vanilla. Opened the little box and inside was a sealed metallic bag which held the goody. It was a good size, for Torrone, and upon the first bite the rice paper wafer was fresh, the nougat was sweet but not sickeningly and the almonds were toasted and crisp. Then the childhood memories flooded in - I'm sitting at the long, dining table with the credenza behind me and I'm facing the front window looking out at a winter day. The women in the kitchen doing dishes and cleaning up after a huge meal, the Italian chatter ebbs and flows, the men watching the Christmas sports in the other room, and me sneaking the first tastes of Torrone enjoying bite after bite of the delicate goodness. Memories in a box and this brand didn't fail.
